Make a little room to think

In a block puzzle, an empty space can matter as much as a completed line. Look at the shapes still waiting to be placed before filling a narrow gap. For sliding puzzles, work back from the exit: decide which piece must move first, then make room for it. A move that opens up the board can be more useful than one that clears a single obstacle.

Choose your pace

Matching games reward noticing patterns, while number puzzles invite you to plan how neighboring tiles will combine. If a game has a timer, take a moment to read its instructions before you begin. For a quieter challenge, look for a game where arranging the board matters more than reacting quickly. Each game page explains the basic goal and controls.
