About Poly Art

Poly Art is a calm picture-assembly puzzle. Each image, whether an animal, a plant, a vehicle or a flower, has been broken into clusters of shards, and your task is to put them back together until the full artwork appears. The pace is relaxed and the pleasure comes from watching a scattered pile of fragments turn into a finished picture, one cluster at a time.

The collection is large. There are dozens of pictures spread across themes such as animals, plants, vehicles and flowers, with more subjects beyond those, and the images are grouped into segments that you work through in turn. Completing every segment is the long-term goal. Patience and a careful eye for where each shard belongs matter more than speed, which is what keeps the game restful rather than stressful. The screen is portrait, so an upright phone shows each picture whole, and computers work too.

How to play Poly Art

Objective

Assemble each picture from its clusters of image shards and work through the themes until every game segment is complete.

Getting started

  1. Turn the phone upright or open a desktop browser, since the puzzles are designed in portrait.
  2. Open the first segment and start on its first picture, which may be an animal, plant, vehicle or flower.
  3. Look at the clusters of shards and work out which part of the image each one belongs to.
  4. Place the shards one cluster at a time until the full picture comes together.
  5. Finish every picture in the segment, then move on to the following segment.

Tips

  • Use the theme as a clue: knowing a picture is an animal or a vehicle tells you roughly where eyes, wheels or petals should sit.
  • The game is meant to be relaxing, so take your time with each cluster rather than forcing pieces into place.
  • Work through the segments in order, because completing all of them is the overall goal and each finished one adds to the collection.
