About Word Cross
Word Cross puts a crossword grid on the board and gives you a set of letters to build its answers from. You swipe across those letters, linking them in any direction, to spell the hidden words, and every correct word drops into its place in the crossword. A level is won once the whole grid is filled in, and finishing levels pays out bonus rewards.
There are more than 6,000 levels, and they grow harder as you go. A built-in dictionary gives definitions for the tougher words you uncover, so the game doubles as vocabulary practice. If you stall, hints, magnifying glasses and firecrackers are available to help track down what is missing. There is no time limit and no pressure at any point, and the board sits on a calm theme of grass and wood.

- Swipe across letters in any direction to connect them into a word you think belongs in the grid.
- Watch a correct word slot into the crossword, then keep going to fill the remaining gaps one by one.
- Turn to a hint, magnifying glass or firecracker when a gap refuses to fill, then finish the grid to win.
- Collect the bonus reward for completing the level, and check the dictionary for any unfamiliar word you found.
Tips
- Use letters already placed by crossing answers to narrow down the remaining gaps, since the crossword shares letters between words.
- Look up unfamiliar finds in the dictionary; its definitions help tougher words stick, which pays off in later, harder levels.
