About Good Knight Story
Good Knight Story opens with its hero waking up in a dungeon, head aching, with no idea how he got there. Working out what happened the night before is the thread that runs through the whole game, and it unfolds through puzzles, monster fights and a steady supply of bad jokes.
The puzzles are about matching. On each level you look for combinations of identical elements and connect them, while a task shown in the upper right corner of the screen tells you what clearing that stage requires. There are more than 100 levels, with epic boss battles along the way, a character upgrade system, weapons that can be upgraded, special boosts to unlock and daily gifts to collect. A custom themed soundtrack plays throughout, and the game jokingly promises over a thousand handsome tavern owners.

Getting started
- Read the task shown in the upper right corner before making a move, since it defines what clears the level.
- Scan the board for groups of identical elements that you are able to link together.
- Connect matching elements in a way that moves the task forward, instead of linking groups at random.
- Collect the daily gift when it is offered, and put upgrades and special boosts to use as they unlock.
Tips
- Since the task in the upper right corner decides when a level ends, favor connections that count toward it over ones that merely clear space.
- The hero and his weapons have separate upgrade paths, so spread your progress across both before the boss battles arrive.
- Daily gifts exist to help the quest along, so returning for them regularly gives you extra support for the harder levels later in the 100-plus run.
