About Dice Puzzle

Dice Puzzle is a merging game played with numbered cubes. Dice arrive in a tray, sometimes alone and sometimes as a joined pair, and you drag them onto open spots on the board. When three or more dice showing the same face value end up side by side, horizontally, vertically or even diagonally, they combine automatically into one die with a higher number.

The pressure comes from space. Every die you place takes up room, so the aim is to keep merging before the board fills completely. Pairs need extra thought, and tapping one in the tray rotates it so it lines up better with its neighbors. A storage space on the board lets you set a cube aside and bring it back later, when it can complete a merge that no open square allows right now.

How to play Dice Puzzle

Objective

Merge groups of three or more matching dice into higher values and stop the grid from filling up, using rotation and the storage space to plan each placement.

Controls

Mobile

  • Drag: move a die or pair from the tray onto the grid
  • Tap a pair in the tray: rotate it before placing

Getting started

  1. Check the tray to see whether the next piece is a single die or a pair, and note its face values.
  2. Tap a pair in the tray to rotate it until its orientation suits the space you have in mind.
  3. Drag the die or pair onto the grid where it fits, ideally next to dice showing the same number.
  4. Line up three or more matching faces so they merge into one higher-value die and make room on the grid.
  5. Put a cube in the storage space when it has no good spot yet, and bring it back once it can finish a merge.

Tips

  • Set two matching dice side by side and leave an empty square next to them, so the next die with that number can complete the merge at once.
  • Each merge produces a die with a higher value, so keeping dice of that next value nearby can turn one merge into a chain.
  • Save the storage space for awkward pieces; a pair that fits nowhere right now may finish a three-way merge a few placements later.
  • Rotate pairs before dragging them, because the same pair can complete a merge in one orientation and block a gap in another.

Dice Puzzle FAQ

How many matching dice are needed to merge in Dice Puzzle?

Three or more. When at least three dice with the same face value sit next to each other horizontally, vertically or even diagonally, they combine on their own into one die worth a higher value.

What is the storage space for in Dice Puzzle?

It holds a die you want to keep for later. Parking a cube there instead of forcing it onto the grid keeps it ready for a later merge, which helps when the board is getting crowded.

Can you rotate a pair of dice in Dice Puzzle?

Yes. Tap the pair while it is still in the tray to rotate it, then drag it onto the grid. Turning a pair lets you match both of its faces to the dice already on the board.
