About Block Sculptor

Block Sculptor casts you as a sculptor working on a solid block. Hidden inside each one is a colorful shape, wrapped in a layer of plain gray cubes, and your job is to take away every gray cube until only the figure is left. Colored cubes belong to the sculpture, so hitting one of them counts as a mistake.

Since the shape is buried in three dimensions, turning the block is as important as removing cubes: a gray cube on one face may sit right beside a colored one you cannot see from the front. Shapes get bigger as you progress and leave less room for error. The fewer mistakes you make on a puzzle, the more stars and coins it pays out, which rewards slow, careful study of the block over fast guessing.

How to play Block Sculptor

Objective

Remove every gray cube from the block to reveal the hidden figure, avoiding the colored cubes so you finish with as few mistakes as possible.

Controls

Desktop

  • Mouse drag: rotate the block

Mobile

  • Tap a gray cube: remove it
  • Finger drag: rotate the block

Getting started

  1. Look at the block from the front and pick out the gray cubes sitting on its outer layer.
  2. Tap a gray cube to remove it, working inward one cube at a time toward the hidden shape.
  3. Drag with your finger or the mouse to turn the block and check its other sides before your next move.
  4. Leave every colored cube alone, since hitting one counts as a mistake against your result.
  5. Keep going until every gray cube is gone and the full figure appears, then collect your stars and coins.

Tips

  • Rotate the block every few moves; a colored cube can be hiding right behind the gray one you are about to remove.
  • Clear the obvious outer gray cubes first and slow down as you get close to the figure, where a misplaced tap is most likely.
  • Aim for a run with no mistakes at all, because fewer mistakes is exactly what earns more stars and coins at the end of a puzzle.
  • Expect bigger shapes later on with less margin for error, so build the habit of checking every angle while the early puzzles are still small.

Block Sculptor FAQ

What counts as a mistake in Block Sculptor?

Tapping a colored cube. Those cubes are part of the hidden figure, so only the gray ones should be removed. Mistakes lower your reward, since finishing with fewer of them means more stars and coins.

How do you rotate the block?

Drag across the screen with your finger, or drag with the mouse on a computer. Turning the block lets you study it from every angle, which matters because gray and colored cubes can sit side by side.

When is a puzzle finished?

Once every gray cube has been removed and the hidden figure is fully revealed. How many mistakes you made along the way decides how many stars and coins you take away from it.

Does Block Sculptor get harder?

Yes. The shapes grow larger and leave less margin for error as you move forward, so later blocks need more rotating and more careful choices than the first ones.
