About Stackitaire

Stackitaire takes the cards of solitaire and turns them into a sorting puzzle. A level opens with several stacks of mixed cards, and your job is to rearrange them until every stack holds one complete suit, ordered from bottom to top. Moves are easy to describe but restrictive: the card you lift may only land on a matching suit or in an empty stack.

That single rule is why planning matters, since a card dropped in the wrong place can block the one you need next. Each level deals a new layout, and the difficulty climbs as locked cards, hidden decks and narrower stacks appear. Three boosters help with hard deals. Undo takes back a move, Hint highlights the best next play, and Key opens a sealed stack and turns its hidden cards face-up. With hundreds of levels and daily bonuses on offer, there is a long run of layouts to sort.

How to play Stackitaire

Objective

Sort every card so that each stack holds one full suit from bottom to top, completing all the stacks to finish the level.

Controls

Mobile

  • Tap a stack: pick up its top card
  • Tap a second stack: drop the card you are holding onto it

Getting started

  1. Look over the starting stacks, noting which suits are spread across them and whether any stack is already empty.
  2. Tap a stack to lift its top card, then tap a second stack to drop the card onto it.
  3. A card can only sit on a card of its own suit or in an empty stack; no other spot accepts it.
  4. Build each stack toward one whole suit, in order from the bottom card up, and complete every stack to clear the level.
  5. When stuck, use Undo to retract a wrong card, Hint to see the best next move, or Key to unseal a locked stack.

Tips

  • An empty stack accepts any card, so keep one clear as a parking spot while you shuffle suits between the other stacks.
  • Spend an Undo before a Hint; reversing one bad placement is often all a stuck layout needs.
  • Save the Key for a sealed stack whose hidden cards you actually need, since it flips them face-up and brings them into play.
  • Before each placement, check whether it buries a card of another suit that you will need soon, because blocked cards are what make later layouts hard.

Stackitaire FAQ

Where can a card be placed in Stackitaire?

Only on top of a card of matching suit, or in an empty stack. That restriction is the heart of the puzzle, since every move has to keep a path open for the cards still mixed into other stacks.

What does the Key booster do in Stackitaire?

It unlocks a sealed stack and flips the hidden cards inside face-up so you can play them. The other two boosters are Undo, which reverses your last move, and Hint, which highlights the best next move.

When is a Stackitaire level finished?

When every stack on the board is complete. A stack is done when it contains a single whole suit in order from the bottom up, and the level ends once all of them are finished.

How many levels does Stackitaire have?

Hundreds. Each one deals a fresh layout, and later levels bring locked cards, hidden decks and tighter stacks, so the boosters become more valuable as you go. Daily bonuses are offered as well.
