About Seven Down
Seven Down is built on a die and one rule. The number that counts is the face pressed against the ground, which stays out of sight, but because a die's opposite faces always total seven, you can always work it out from the top. Roll the die across a board and that hidden number changes with every step, so the route you take decides which number you arrive with.
Three games share the die. Puzzle has 60 hand-checked boards plus a daily board that is identical for every player, and the job is to finish on the pad with precisely the face it demands. Action spreads 120 stages over six places, with spikes, turrets, sweeping arms, crumbling tiles, conveyor belts and open gaps in your way, plus powers you earn by landing on their number. Maze offers 60 dark labyrinths where only nearby tiles are visible, though every tile you have walked stays revealed. Each level's par comes from a solver, so the shortest route can always be matched.

How to play Seven Down
Objective
Roll the die onto each pad with the face it asks for, survive the chased Action stages and uncover every dark maze, ideally matching par.
Controls
Desktop
- Arrow keys or W A S D: one roll per press, held keys keep rolling in Action
- 1: Bridge, span a gap
- 2: Guard, blunt the spikes
- 3: Shield, survive one hit
- C: change camera
- V: overview of the whole board
- Spacebar: skip the countdown
- Esc: menu
Mobile
- Drag anywhere: roll the die the way you dragged
- Tap a power chip: trigger that power
Getting started
- Choose Puzzle, Action or Maze; all three use the same die and the same seven rule.
- Roll with the arrow keys, W A S D or a drag, and check the top face; the hidden bottom number is seven minus it.
- In Puzzle, plan the full route before moving, because the pad wants a specific face and your number depends entirely on the path.
- Press V for an overview of the whole board, or C to change the camera, whenever a route is hard to read.
- In Action, land on the number a power asks for to collect it, then use Bridge, Guard or Shield with keys 1, 2 and 3.
Tips
- Read the top face and subtract it from seven to know what is underneath; that one sum tells you the number you are standing on at every step.
- In Action stages the die keeps rolling while a key is held, so press and release briefly for single steps near spikes and gaps.
- Save the Shield for a turret or sweeping arm you cannot dodge, since it survives exactly one hit.
- In Maze mode every tile you walk stays uncovered, so sweep the labyrinth from one side to avoid wandering back through dark corridors.
- Par is proved by a solver, so if your route is longer, a shorter one definitely exists and is worth hunting for.

Seven Down FAQ
Which number counts in Seven Down?
The bottom face, the one against the ground, is your number, even though you never see it. Opposite faces of a die add up to seven, so subtract the top face from seven and you know what you are standing on.
What modes does Seven Down have?
There are three. Puzzle has 60 boards plus a daily board shared by everyone, Action has 120 chased stages over six places with collectable powers, and Maze has 60 dark labyrinths that reveal themselves as you walk.
How do you play Seven Down on a phone?
Drag anywhere on the screen to roll the die in that direction, and tap a power chip to use a bridge, guard or shield. On a computer, the rolling is done with the arrow keys or W A S D.
Does Seven Down work offline?
Yes. Its textures, music and boards are all generated while the game runs, so it keeps working without a connection. Every level is also checked by a solver before release, which is where each par comes from.
