About Room 45
Room 45 locks you inside a single room and offers nothing in the way of help. There is no tutorial and no instruction screen, just a sealed door, a space full of objects and the creeping sense that the room itself is watching. To get out, you have to work through a set of twisted puzzles, find the clues hidden around you and piece together what happened in this place.
Any object could be the clue that opens the next step, so observation is the main skill. The clock adds pressure: the story has to come together before time runs out, and wandering aimlessly costs you. The game leans on horror atmosphere and a hidden object style of searching rather than action, and its inputs are few: E or the left mouse button to interact, X to close what you have opened and C to crouch.

How to play Room 45
Objective
Escape Room 45 by solving its puzzles and uncovering the hidden clues that explain what happened there, all before time runs out.
Controls
Desktop
- E: interact with an object
- Left mouse button: interact, as an alternative to E
- X: close
- C: crouch
Getting started
- Take a slow look around the room as soon as you start, since nothing is explained and any object may be a clue.
- Press E, or use the left mouse button, to interact with whatever catches your eye.
- Press X to close a view or item you have opened, then move on to the next object.
- Press C to crouch and check the lower parts of the room as well as what sits at eye level.
- Link the clues you find to the puzzles they open, and keep moving, because time is limited.
Tips
- With no tutorial to guide you, interact with every object before deciding it is useless, since any one could unlock the next step.
- Crouch with C near furniture and low corners, because hidden clues are not always placed where you would look while standing.
- Time is part of the challenge, so avoid going back over objects you have fully examined and focus on the ones not yet tried.
- Remember details from earlier clues, since escaping depends on piecing together what happened in the room, not just opening the door.
