About Bridge Builder

Bridge Builder casts you as a design engineer facing a different gap on every level. You choose from several materials, lay out a structure across the gap, then start the simulation and watch a vehicle drive onto it. The physics decide the outcome: either the bridge carries the weight and the vehicle makes it to the other side, or the design gives way and it is back to the drawing board.

The levels are spread over four locations, and each one asks you to improvise and adapt to the task in front of you rather than reuse a single design. Thinking and logic matter more than speed, since building, running the simulation and undoing parts is the normal loop. A built-in hint system steps in when a puzzle has you stuck, and on mobile the whole process works through the touchscreen and on-screen controls.

How to play Bridge Builder

Objective

Build a bridge from the available materials that can hold the weight of the vehicle, then run the simulation and get it safely across the gap.

Controls

Desktop

  • Drag with left click: build a bridge
  • Double left click: remove a bridge part
  • Space: start the simulation
  • Z: undo

Mobile

  • Touchscreen and on-screen controls: every building and simulation action

Getting started

  1. Look at the gap the level asks you to span and note where the bridge needs to start and end.
  2. Pick a material, then drag with a left click, or use the touchscreen, to lay out bridge parts across the gap.
  3. Remove a misplaced part with a double left click, or press Z to undo your last change.
  4. Press Space to start the simulation and watch whether the vehicle crosses or the bridge gives way.
  5. If it fails, rework the weak section and try again, calling on the hint system when you cannot see the problem.

Tips

  • The simulation is the real verdict, so run it early with a rough design to see where the structure struggles, then refine that part.
  • Different materials are on offer for a reason; mixing them lets you strengthen the sections that carry the most load.
  • Z undoes your last action, which is quicker than double-clicking parts away one by one when a whole section is wrong.
  • Lean on the built-in hint system when stuck, since it is meant to build your bridge-making skills across the four locations.

Bridge Builder FAQ

How do you check a bridge in Bridge Builder?

Press Space to start the simulation. A vehicle then drives across, and the physics show whether your structure can support its weight or gives way under it.

Can you play Bridge Builder on a phone?

Yes. On mobile every action works through the touchscreen and on-screen controls. On a computer you drag with a left click to build, double left click to remove a part, press Z to undo and Space to run the simulation.

Is there help for hard levels?

Yes, the game has a hint system built in for moments when a level has you stuck. The levels are spread across four locations and lean on thinking and logic, so a hint can point you the right way.
