About Solitaire Stars
Solitaire Stars plays Yukon, a solitaire variant with no hidden cards. From the first deal the whole tableau lies face-up, so instead of hoping a flipped card helps you, you can study the full layout and plan from the very first move. The pace is relaxed and suited to short sessions whenever you fancy a hand of cards.
The rules run in two directions. On the tableau, cards go down in rank from King toward Ace and must alternate red and black, so a red Queen needs a black King beneath it. On the four foundations, each suit, hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs, climbs from Ace to King. Yukon's signature rule concerns moving groups: you can carry a stack of cards even when the cards inside it are jumbled, provided the card that leads the group fits its new spot. That freedom is what lets a seemingly blocked column open up.

How to play Solitaire Stars
Objective
Move every card onto the four foundation piles, one pile per suit, building each from Ace up to King until the tableau is empty.
Getting started
- Scan the whole tableau before your first move, since every card is already face-up and no surprises wait underneath.
- Look for the Aces first; each one starts the foundation pile for its suit, which then grows upward to the King.
- Build down on the tableau in alternating colors, for example placing a red Queen onto a black King.
- Move whole groups between columns when the card leading the group fits the destination, even if the cards above it are out of order.
- Keep sending cards to the foundations by suit until all four piles run from Ace to King.
Tips
- Since nothing is hidden, trace several moves ahead before starting; you can see exactly which cards sit on top of the one you need.
- Group moves ignore the order of the cards being carried, so one well-placed leading card can relocate a messy column in a single step.
- Freeing an Ace or a low card buried deep in a column usually matters more than a convenient tableau move, because foundations only grow upward from Ace.

Solitaire Stars FAQ
What makes Yukon different from classic solitaire in Solitaire Stars?
Two things. Every card is dealt face-up, so the full layout is visible from the start, and you may move a group of cards even when it is not in sequence, as long as its leading card follows the stacking rule.
How do the foundation piles work in Solitaire Stars?
There are four, one for each suit: hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs. Each pile begins with its Ace and builds upward to the King, and the game is won once every card has reached a foundation.
Which cards can be stacked on each other in the tableau?
Cards go down in rank with alternating colors. A red Queen can sit on a black King, a black Jack on a red Queen, and so on. When you move a group, the same rule applies to the card leading it.
