About Binary Drop
Binary Drop turns binary numbers into rows of lights. Every column on the board has a value printed above it, such as 8, 4, 2 and 1, and each row is a little binary number. Lime rows show a target on the right, and you switch on the lights whose values add up to it. Violet rows arrive already lit, and you add up the lit columns and enter the total. Solve a row and it disappears.
The first level is gentle and lets you watch how it works before you have to act. From level 3 the rows start falling down the board like falling blocks, and each one has to be solved before it lands. A landed row costs a heart, and losing all three ends the round. Clearing 40 rows completes a level and opens the next on the level path, and every new level brings more lights and more speed. Streaks are rewarded with rising melodies and confetti.

How to play Binary Drop
Objective
Solve every lime and violet row before it lands, clearing 40 rows per level to move along the level path without losing all three hearts.
Controls
Desktop
- Click a light: switch it on or off
- Number keys: type the total for a violet row
- Backspace: delete the last digit
- Enter: submit the answer
- P or Esc: pause the game
Mobile
- Tap a light: switch it on or off
- On-screen keypad: type and submit totals for violet rows
Getting started
- Play the first level and watch how lit columns add up, since it shows the idea before asking anything of you.
- On a lime row, tap or click the lights whose column values sum to the target number on the right.
- On a violet row, add the values of the lights already on and type the total with the keypad or keyboard.
- Press Enter or the keypad's submit to send the answer and watch the solved row vanish.
- From level 3, solve each falling row before it lands, and clear 40 rows to unlock the following level.
Tips
- For lime rows, start with the biggest column that fits: for 13, take 8, then 4, then 1, and skip the 2.
- On violet rows, add from the left so you only ever add a smaller number to a running total.
- A landed row costs one of only three hearts, so solve the lowest falling row first, even if a higher one looks easier.
- Later levels add more lights, so learn the next column values, 16 and beyond, by doubling the leftmost number you know.
- Keep a streak going for the rising melody and confetti, and pause with P or Esc if you need a breather.

Binary Drop FAQ
What is the difference between lime and violet rows in Binary Drop?
Lime rows give you a number and ask you to light the columns that add up to it. Violet rows come already lit and ask you to add up their values and type the total.
When do rows start falling?
From level 3. Before that you can solve rows calmly. After that, each row drops down the board and must be solved before it lands, or it costs one of your three hearts.
How do you finish a level?
Clear 40 rows. That completes the level and unlocks the next one on the level path, which adds more lights and a faster pace than the one before.
Can Binary Drop be played with a keyboard?
Yes. Click lights to toggle them, then type violet totals with the number keys, fix mistakes with Backspace and submit with Enter. P or Esc pauses, and phones use taps plus an on-screen keypad.
