About PopCats: Merge the cats!
PopCats: Merge the cats! is a merge puzzle where identical cats combine into a larger, cuter cat. The board fills up from the bottom, so every merge you make also frees space, and the danger comes from above: once any cat reaches the line at the top, the round is over. Points arrive with each successful merge and count toward a player ranking.
There is a finish to aim for as well as a score. The game is won by bringing together the two biggest cats, which takes a long chain of merges to reach. Each cat also has its own short story, readable by picking its picture in the panel at the bottom of the screen. Two aids help when the board gets crowded: yarn, which removes an awkward cat if your aim is true, and the option to swap the next cat by watching an ad.

Getting started
- Click or tap on the board to bring two identical cats together and watch them merge into a bigger cat.
- Keep an eye on the top line from the first move; the board fills from below and a cat touching that line ends the game.
- Look at which cat comes next, and if it will not suit your board, change it by watching an ad.
- When a cat blocks a merge you need, use yarn on it, aiming carefully because a miss still counts.
- Open the bottom panel and pick a cat's picture whenever you want to read that cat's history.
Tips
- Save yarn for a cat that is truly stuck between two matches, since a missed shot is used up while the pile keeps rising.
- Every merge both scores points and frees room, so take merges whenever the stack is near the top line instead of setting up bigger ones.
- The win comes from joining the two biggest cats, so try to keep your largest cats close together rather than letting smaller ones wall them off.
- Swapping the next cat costs an ad but can rescue a round when the incoming cat matches nothing on the board.
