About Merge Mania
Merge Mania is a quick number puzzle played on a grid against the clock. A numbered tile appears at the bottom, and you choose a column to send it up into. Whenever two identical numbers meet, they merge into one tile with double the value, so a pair of equal tiles becomes one bigger one.
The pressure comes from two directions. The grid has limited room, and keeping it from filling up completely is the whole survival game, so each placement should set up a merge rather than simply stack another tile. At the same time, it is a race against time to push your score as high as you can. Smart placements can lead to a chain of merges, as a freshly doubled tile meets another of the same value. The decisions get harder as columns grow taller and fewer safe spots remain.

How to play Merge Mania
Objective
Place each numbered tile into a column so matching numbers merge into doubles, scoring as high as you can before the clock runs out or the grid overflows.

- Tap a column: send the current tile up into that column
Getting started
- Look at the numbered tile waiting at the bottom of the grid and note its value before you place it.
- Tap a column where a tile of the same value is waiting, so the two meet and merge into double.
- If no column offers a match, place the tile where it takes up the least useful space.
- Watch the clock and the height of each column, merging steadily to stop the grid from overflowing.
Tips
- Set up chains: placing a tile so its doubled result meets another tile of that new value can trigger a second merge.
- Avoid scattering one-off values across every column; keeping similar numbers together leaves more chances for tiles to meet their match.
- Because scoring is a race against time, make quick decisions on easy matches and save your thinking for crowded moments.
- Keep at least one column low as an outlet for tiles that have no match yet, so a bad draw does not fill the grid.

How do tiles merge in Merge Mania?
When two identical numbers meet, they combine into one tile holding double their value. A pair of equal tiles therefore becomes one tile with twice the number, and that tile can merge again if it meets another of the same value.
How do you place a tile?
Tap a column, and the numbered tile from the bottom of the grid moves upward into it. Choosing the right column is the whole game, since it decides which numbers meet and whether the grid stays clear.
What do you need to avoid in Merge Mania?
Letting the grid overflow. Every tile you place takes up room, and only merges open space again, so the goal is to keep merging while stopping the grid from filling completely, all while time is running down.
