About 3D Dots

3D Dots moves connect-the-dots off the page and into three dimensions. Each level opens on a floating cloud of numbered dots, and you link them with lines until a hidden object takes shape. The number on a dot says how many lines must meet at it, so every puzzle is solved by logic: a dot turns green once its count is met, and a wrong link shows up in red so you can take it away.

Because the figure is truly 3D, some dots hide behind others from the front, and rotating the model is part of solving it. Zooming helps with dense clusters. A finished puzzle reveals the model and adds it to your gallery, while bigger models are built up part by part. A Hint button gives away one correct connection when you are stuck, and finishing more models moves you up the leaderboard.

How to play 3D Dots

Objective

Connect every numbered dot with the exact number of lines it shows, until all dots are green and the hidden 3D model appears and joins your gallery.

Controls

Desktop

  • Scroll: zoom in or out

Mobile

  • Tap a dot and drag to another: draw a connecting line
  • Tap a red line: delete a wrong connection
  • Swipe on empty space: turn the model around
  • Pinch: zoom in or out

Getting started

  1. Look over the floating cloud of dots and read the numbers, starting with a dot that has only a few possible partners nearby.
  2. Tap that dot and pull a line over to a second dot, watching for it to turn green once its count is met.
  3. A red line means a wrong link; tap it to delete the connection and pick another pair of dots.
  4. Swipe across empty space to turn the model and uncover dots hidden behind others, pinching or scrolling to zoom into crowded spots.
  5. Finish every connection to reveal the model and add it to your gallery, pressing the Hint button if you get stuck.

Tips

  • Rotate the figure before deciding a dot is finished; some dots sit hidden behind others, and a connection you cannot see from the front may be the one you need.
  • Let the colors guide you: green means a dot's line count is satisfied, so stop adding lines there and focus on dots that are still waiting.
  • Remove red lines right away by tapping them, since a red link is a wrong one and will never be part of the finished model.
  • Save the Hint button for real dead ends; it reveals just one correct connection, which may be all you need to get moving again.
  • Zoom in with pinch or scroll on dense clusters, where several lines meet close together and a misplaced drag is easy to make.

3D Dots FAQ

What does the number on a dot mean in 3D Dots?

It is the number of lines that must meet at that dot. Once that many lines are attached, the dot turns green. The count removes guesswork, so each puzzle can be solved by careful logic.

What happens when you make a wrong connection?

The line turns red. Tap that red line to delete it, then pair the dot with a different partner. Fixing a mistake is quick, so trying out pairs is a normal part of working through a model.

Why are some dots hard to see?

The puzzle is three-dimensional, so some dots are hidden behind others when you look straight on. Swiping across empty space turns the model so they come into view, and pinch or scroll zooms.

What is the gallery for?

Each model you complete is revealed and then stored in your gallery, which collects your completed puzzles. Larger models are assembled part by part, and completing more models also helps you climb the leaderboard.
