About Russian Drift: Overtaking in the City
Russian Drift: Overtaking in the City is a street racing game set on busy city roads. You start a run, put your foot down and work your way through the traffic, passing rival cars one after another while holding the car steady through the corners. Drifting is the move the game is built around, and the car runs on realistic physics, so keeping a slide under control takes practice.
The controls come down to four actions. W is the gas and S is the brake, while A and D turn the car left and right. On a phone the same jobs move to on-screen buttons that cover every car input. What remains is reading the road, picking your moment to pass and sharpening your driving until the rivals stop closing in behind you.

How to play Russian Drift: Overtaking in the City
Objective
Overtake the rival cars on the city streets while keeping your car under control through every corner and drift.
Controls
Desktop
- W: gas
- A: turn left
- D: turn right
- S: brake
Mobile
- On-screen buttons: gas, brake and steering
Getting started
- Start a run and press W to get up to speed, or use the on-screen gas button on a phone.
- Steer with A and D as you weave through the city traffic toward the rival ahead of you.
- Brake with S before a sharp corner so the car is still under control when you turn in.
- Let the car slide through the bend in a drift, then straighten up with A or D on the way out.
- Look for a clear lane beside a rival and overtake, then set your sights on the next car to pass.
Tips
- Ease off W and press S briefly before a bend; with realistic physics, a corner taken too fast pushes the car wide.
- Make your passes on the straights rather than halfway through a corner, where a drift already has the car sliding.
- Rivals keep closing in, so after an overtake concentrate on a clean line through the next corners instead of on the car behind.
- On a phone every input is an on-screen button, so rest your thumbs over gas, brake and steering before the run begins.
