About Mechanic Simulator: Car Repair

Mechanic Simulator: Car Repair divides each session between garage work and city driving. At the service station you move around on foot, raise items, carry them over to the car you are working on and set them in place, working through the repairs on the cars in your garage. When a car is ready, you sit down behind the wheel and take it out into the city, so each fix is followed by a drive.

Out on the road the game turns into a drift and destruction sandbox, with a handbrake, nitro once you are in the car and a key for turning the car back over after a rollover. More than 17 cars are included, and the game covers careful repair work, big races and realistic crashes, so a session can swing from patient fixing to wrecking everything nearby. On phones and tablets, every action runs through the on-screen interface.

How to play Mechanic Simulator: Car Repair

Objective

Repair the cars at your service station by fetching items and delivering them to each car, then take the finished cars into the city to drift and cause destruction.

Controls

Desktop

  • WASD: move on foot or drive
  • X: sit down in the car
  • E: raise an item
  • Left mouse button: deliver the item you are holding
  • Q: drop the item
  • Space bar: handbrake
  • Right Shift: nitro while in the car
  • R: turn the car over
  • Esc: pause

Mobile

  • In-game interface: on-screen controls for every action

Getting started

  1. Start in the service station and move around with WASD to look over the cars waiting in your garage.
  2. Press E to raise an item, carry it to the car you are working on and press the left mouse button to deliver it.
  3. Press Q if you need to put down the item you are holding, then pick up a different one.
  4. When a car is fixed, walk up to it and press X to sit down in the driver's seat.
  5. Drive out into the city, using the space bar for handbrake drifts and Right Shift for nitro, and press R if you roll over.

Tips

  • If you pick up the wrong item, Q drops it on the spot, which is quicker than carrying it all the way to the car and back.
  • Nitro sits on the Right Shift key and only works inside a car, so keep your right hand near that key before a long drift.
  • Use the space bar handbrake to start drifts around city corners; drifting and destruction are the reward once the repair work is done.
  • With more than 17 cars to work on, keep cycling through new repairs; every car you finish becomes another one to take into the city.

More than 17. Each one can be repaired at the service station and then driven into the city, where the game switches to drifting, racing and realistic crashes.
