About Moto Maniac 2

Moto Maniac 2 is the sequel to Moto Maniac, and it swaps the setting for a bridge at night. The bridge is still under construction, so the ride is full of hazards: there are gaps where the bike can drop into the abyss and obstacles placed low enough to catch the rider's head. The goal on every run is to get past all of it as quickly as you can, so speed and care pull against each other the whole way.

Darkness is the twist. The road ahead is hard to see, but a drone lights the way, so watching its light is how you spot trouble in time. On phones the bike responds to a swipe, as the SWIPE TO MOVE prompt says, and after a run the game waits on TAP TO CONTINUE or TAP TO RESTART. The whole game plays in landscape.

How to play Moto Maniac 2

Objective

Ride across the night-time bridge as fast as you can, avoiding the gaps that drop into the abyss and the obstacles that hit the rider's head.

Controls

Mobile

  • Swipe: move the bike, as the SWIPE TO MOVE prompt says
  • Tap: carry on or ride again at the TAP TO CONTINUE and TAP TO RESTART screens

Getting started

  1. Turn the phone sideways first; Moto Maniac 2 is a landscape game on both phones and computers.
  2. When the SWIPE TO MOVE prompt appears, swipe to send the bike moving along the bridge.
  3. Keep your eyes on the patch of road the drone lights up, because that is where the next gap or obstacle shows itself.
  4. When a run ends, tap at TAP TO CONTINUE or TAP TO RESTART to carry on or to try the bridge again.

Tips

  • Watch the height of obstacles as well as the gaps. The bridge can drop you into the abyss, but it can also catch the rider's head on low parts.
  • The drone's light is your early warning. Hazards in the dark only become clear inside its beam, so keep the lit area in view.
  • Speed is the goal, yet every fall sends you back to TAP TO RESTART. Learn a stretch carefully, then push faster once you know where its gaps are.

Moto Maniac 2 FAQ

How do you steer the bike in Moto Maniac 2 on a phone?

You swipe. The game shows SWIPE TO MOVE, and swiping moves the bike along the bridge. Between runs, tapping the screen answers the TAP TO CONTINUE and TAP TO RESTART prompts.

Why is there a drone in Moto Maniac 2?

The bridge is ridden at night and it is dark, so the drone lights the way for you. Without its light, the gaps and obstacles on the unfinished bridge would be very hard to see in time.

What can go wrong on the unfinished bridge?

Two things in particular. Because the bridge is still under construction, you can fall into the abyss through a gap, or hit your head on an obstacle. Avoiding both while keeping your speed up is the whole challenge.
