About Moscow Metro Simulator
Moscow Metro Simulator puts you in the cab of a Moscow metro train on the Kalininskaya line, carrying passengers between its eight stations, from Tretyakovskaya out to Novokosino. Four trains are included: the Nomernoy 81-717/714, the Oka 81-760/761, the type E 81-703 and the Moscow 81-765/766. Authentic details matter here, and the station announcements use real recordings from the metro's informant system.
Driving is done with a speed controller on the left of the cab: positions X1 to X4 accelerate and T1 to T3 slow the train. Buttons in the bottom right handle the informant announcement, the doors, the headlights and the horn, and the doors open only when the train is stopped at a station within 3 meters of the rail. You can also step off and walk through the stations. A Training mode teaches you how to drive, and Driver mode puts you in charge.

Getting started
- Begin with Training mode to learn how the train is driven before taking on Driver mode.
- Pick a train and move the speed controller on the left to X1, then up toward X4 to pull away and accelerate.
- Move the controller to T1, T2 or T3 to slow down as you approach the next station on the line.
- Stop at the platform within 3 meters of the rail, then press the button with doors on the bottom right.
- Press the speaker button to play the informant announcement, and use the Get off the train button to explore the station.
Tips
- The doors and the Get off the train button only work once you have stopped at a station within 3 meters, so start slowing with the T positions early.
- Step through T1, T2 and T3 rather than jumping straight to the last position, so you can judge the stop and avoid overshooting the platform.
- Play the informant recording with the speaker button at each station; the announcements are real recordings from the Moscow metro.
- When walking a station, press Get back on the train, found at the lower left, to return to the cab without walking back.
