About GT Cars Mega Ramps

GT Cars Mega Ramps puts super-sport cars on tracks that are actively trying to wreck them. Three modes set different rules. Face to Face has you racing to and fro against an opponent, and if they crash, the debris comes at you at full speed; one hit ends the race. Color Lands builds roads out of bright blocks, and slowing down drops you into the void. Mega Ramps is the wildest, with huge jumps, rolling balls that appear at random and walls of crates bursting apart.

There are giant bosses to outmaneuver as well. Progress runs on money rather than levels: win races, collect cash and spend it on faster cars from real super-sport brands, each with its own handling. The garage lets you repaint body panels, tint the windows, change wheel designs and pick light colors. Two people can play split-screen on one keyboard, each with their own keys for driving, NOS, resets and camera.

How to play GT Cars Mega Ramps

Objective

Win races across Face to Face, Color Lands and Mega Ramps, survive the debris, falls and rolling balls each mode throws at you, and spend your cash on faster, customized super-sport cars.

Controls

Desktop

  • WASD or arrow keys: drive in 1 Player mode
  • Left Shift: NOS boost
  • R: reset car position
  • C: change camera view
  • Player 1 in 2 Players mode: WASD, Left Shift, R and C
  • Player 2 arrow keys: drive
  • Player 2 N: NOS boost
  • Player 2 L: reset car position
  • Player 2 U: change camera

Getting started

  1. Pick 1 Player mode and drive on WASD or the arrow keys, or 2 Players mode to share the keyboard with a friend.
  2. Start in Face to Face and keep an eye on the opposing car, ready to swerve left or right if it crashes.
  3. Press Left Shift for NOS on straights, and keep some boost for the jump ramps in Mega Ramps mode.
  4. In Color Lands, hold your speed on the block roads, since slowing down drops you into the void.
  5. Spend race winnings on a faster car in the garage, then repaint it and change its wheels, windows and lights.

Tips

  • In Face to Face, a crash by your opponent sends wreckage flying at you, so watch their car and move aside the moment it loses control.
  • Save NOS for the jump ramps in Mega Ramps mode, where extra speed matters most, and use what is left on straightaways.
  • Press R to reset the car right away if it flips, rather than wasting time trying to drive out of it.
  • Buy a cheaper car first for practice, then save up for the fastest models once you can win races reliably.

GT Cars Mega Ramps FAQ

Can two people play GT Cars Mega Ramps on one computer?

Yes. 2 Players mode runs split-screen on a shared keyboard. Player 1 uses WASD, Left Shift for NOS, R to reset and C for the camera; Player 2 uses the arrow keys, N, L and U.

Which mode is the hardest?

Mega Ramps. Giant rolling balls appear at random and walls of crates explode around the track, so it takes sharp timing and careful use of NOS to get through a race in one piece.

How do you unlock new cars?

With money from winning races. There is no leveling system, so any car in the garage is open once you can afford it, and each one handles in its own way.

What happens if you slow down in Color Lands?

You fall. The roads there are built from bright blocks, and losing speed drops the car into the void, so keep your pace up and save a burst of NOS for the sections where you might stall.
