About Breakit

Breakit is a block-breaking game with a twist: the blocks do not sit still. They fall toward the ground at unpredictable moments, and your answer is a bouncing ball that you aim and shoot to smash them apart before they land. Every block that drops is a small emergency, and the ball is your only tool for dealing with it.

Because the blocks come down without warning, each shot is a quick plan. Choosing where to aim matters as much as reacting fast, and a well-chosen angle can keep the ball bouncing into more than one block. Levels grow harder as you advance, so a strategy that works early will need adjusting later on, and clearing a crowded screen with a single good bounce is where the satisfaction lies.

How to play Breakit

Objective

Aim and shoot the bouncing ball to break the falling blocks before they hit the ground, and keep up as each level gets harder.

Getting started

  1. Hold your phone upright before the first block drops; Breakit is a portrait game on computers too.
  2. Watch the first blocks fall and note where they are heading before you take a shot.
  3. Aim the bouncing ball at a falling block and shoot, then see how the bounce carries it toward other blocks.
  4. Clear each block before it hits the ground, picking the most urgent one when several drop together.
  5. Adapt your plan as the levels increase in difficulty and the blocks fall in less predictable ways.

Tips

  • Deal with the lowest block first, because the one closest to the ground is the one about to slip past you.
  • Use the bounce. A shot angled so the ball rebounds into a second block does two jobs at once.
  • Blocks fall unpredictably, so between urgent shots, line up an aim that leaves you ready to react on either side.

Breakit FAQ

What is the goal in Breakit?

Break the falling blocks with your bouncing ball before they hit the ground. Each level is harder than the last, so quick reflexes and a bit of planning are needed to keep the screen clear.

How is Breakit different from a classic block breaker?

The blocks fall. Instead of sitting in rows waiting to be hit, they drop toward the ground at unpredictable moments, and you aim and shoot the ball to catch them on the way down.

Is Breakit best played upright on a phone?

Yes. Breakit is built as a tall, portrait game, so holding the phone upright gives the clearest view of the falling blocks. It runs on computers too, in the same tall format.
