About Robot Band
Robot Band is meant as a break from stressful or difficult games. A band of robots plays techno in Rome's Trastevere district, and the point is to take your time, listen and play around with the show. The robots are the instruments, and getting them to join in is the main thing you do, so each session becomes your own arrangement of the same band.
Two kinds of control shape the performance. Sliders change things such as the colors, the speed of the music and the time of day, so the scene and the beat can both be pushed in new directions. Touching a robot makes it play, letting you bring members of the band in as you like and build the sound up piece by piece. There is no hurry in any of it, which is exactly the mood the game is going for. It runs in landscape on phones and computers.

- Move the sliders to change the colors, the speed of the music and the time of day.
- Keep trying new slider settings and robot combinations until the show sounds and looks the way you like.
Tips
- Bring the robots in one at a time. Touching each robot separately lets you hear what it adds before the next one starts playing.
- Try the music speed slider at both ends; the same robot band sounds very different at a slow tempo compared with a fast one.
- Pair the daytime slider with the colors to set a mood, since both change how the scene in Trastevere looks while the robots play.
