About I Want to Be King
I Want to Be King is a cartoon parody about palace intrigue, with two sides to play. As the assassin, you stay close to the king and win his trust one step at a time, waiting for the chance to take him out and claim the throne for yourself. If the attempt fails, you end up in prison until your next plot is ready.
Play as the king and the roles flip. Now you are the one being hunted, and the task is to find the assassin before he gets you. When the assassin makes his move, you turn around at the right moment to catch him in the act and send him to prison. The two roles feed into each other, since a successful assassin takes the crown and then has to guard it, and the comic art keeps all the scheming light-hearted.

How to play I Want to Be King
Objective
As the assassin, earn the king's trust and seize the throne; as the king, turn around in time to catch the assassin and throw him into prison.

Getting started
- Hold the phone sideways for the landscape layout, then choose whether to begin as the king or the assassin.
- As the assassin, stay near the king and build his trust step by step rather than striking right away.
- Wait for your chance and make the attempt; if it fails, you are sent to prison until the next plan.
- After you take the throne, the role switches and you have to find the assassin who is now after you.
- When the assassin strikes, click or tap the screen so the king spins round and grabs him, then send him to prison.
Tips
- As the assassin, trust grows step by step, so let it build before you strike; a failed attempt lands you in prison.
- As king, the catch happens when the assassin makes his attack, so watch him closely and react at exactly that moment.
- Prison is not the end for the assassin, since a failed plot only means waiting for the next plan, so treat each attempt as practice.
