About Going up
Going up tells a short, simple story: a lonely bird wants to reach its nest, and you are the one helping it climb. Every touch of the screen or left click sends the bird flying upwards, so the whole game rides on the timing of each lift. Get it right and the bird threads its way higher; get it wrong and an obstacle ends the climb.
Obstacles stand between the bird and home, and avoiding them is the main job. Coins appear along the way, and collecting them unlocks new skins for the bird, which gives every attempt something to bring back even when it falls short of the nest. The pixelated world gives the game a nostalgic, old-school arcade look that suits its one-input design.

How to play Going up
Objective
Help the lonely bird fly up to its nest by avoiding every obstacle, and collect coins on the way to unlock new skins.
Controls
Desktop
- Left click: fly upwards
Mobile
- Touch the screen: fly upwards
Getting started
- Hold your phone upright, because Going up is built for a portrait screen; on a computer, left click does the same job.
- Touch the screen or left click to send the bird flying upwards, and get a feel for how far each lift carries it.
- Look ahead at the obstacles and time each lift so the bird slips past them.
- Pick up coins whenever the path allows, since they unlock new skins for your bird.
- Keep climbing toward the nest, and if an obstacle stops you, start over using what you learned.
Tips
- Each touch or click lifts the bird, so short, well-spaced inputs give finer control than frantic tapping.
- Coins and safety can pull in different directions; skip a coin that sits too close to an obstacle and take the easy ones.
- Watch the gap ahead rather than the bird itself, since timing each lift depends on knowing what is coming.
