About Grand Shift Auto
Grand Shift Auto takes place in a seaside town of skyscrapers, narrow streets and busy traffic, where you play a gangster back in town for revenge after a previous visit went badly. The aim is to build an empire and get rich by working through three missions in order, stealing sports cars and taking out targets with an arsenal of guns, rifles, shotguns and machine guns.
Every kill pays money, and that money refills your weapon supplies at the in-game store, opened with Tab. The chaos you cause raises a heat level across the city, and rival gangsters come after you as it climbs. If your health bar empties you respawn, but the mission you were on stays incomplete, so careless fights cost progress. Sound matters here as well, since it lets you react sooner to incoming attackers.

How to play Grand Shift Auto
Objective
Complete all three missions in sequence, staying alive, managing your heat level and fending off rival gangsters on the way to getting rich.

Getting started
- Look around the seaside town, moving with WASD, running with Shift and jumping with Space.
- Find a sports car, press F to get in and drive off; C changes the camera while you are in the car.
- Begin the first of the three missions and shoot targets with a left mouse click, switching weapons with the middle mouse button.
- Spend the money from each kill in the weapon shop on Tab to refill your weapon supplies.
- Keep an eye on your health bar and heat level, and fend off rival gangsters as the heat rises.
Tips
- Dying sends you back with the current mission incomplete, so pull back and refill supplies at the shop before a fight gets out of hand.
- A higher heat level brings rival gangsters after you, so avoid needless chaos when your health or supplies are running low.
- Play with sound on, because audio lets you pick up incoming attackers sooner than you would spot them on screen.
- Use a stolen car to cover ground quickly between targets instead of running everywhere on foot.
