About Zombie defence
Zombie defence casts your car as the last way out of a zombie outbreak. Hordes close in from all sides, and the job is to stay alive while keeping the vehicle from being destroyed, because losing either one ends your chance of escape. Levels take you across different terrain, and finishing quests and taking down zombies earns the currency that keeps you equipped for the next fight.
Between levels that currency buys new weapons or upgrades for the ones you have, extra strength for the car, grenades, and two super-powers: one that repels opponents and an explosive jump. The arsenal covers shotguns, machine guns, sniper rifles and grenade launchers, with up to six weapons mapped to the number keys. There is also a competitive side, where players compare how long they survive in different areas.

How to play Zombie defence
Objective
Survive each level and protect your car from the zombie hordes attacking from every direction, earning currency to strengthen your weapons, your vehicle and your super-powers.
Controls
Desktop
- W, A, S, D: move
- Shift: run
- Space: jump, or explosive jump once that power is bought
- Left mouse button: shoot
- Right mouse button: aim
- 1 to 6 or mouse wheel: choose a weapon from those you have
- R: reload
- G: throw a grenade
- E: push opponents away
- Tab: open the menu or pause
Getting started
- Take up a position close to your car, since the vehicle has to survive the level along with you.
- Walk using W, A, S, D, hold your aim on the right mouse button and fire with the left as zombies come from all sides.
- Press R to reload, G to throw a grenade, and E to shove away any zombie that gets too close.
- Switch weapons with the number keys 1 to 6 or the mouse wheel, depending on how many you own.
- After the level, spend your currency on new or improved weapons, a stronger car, grenades or the two super-powers.
Tips
- Keep checking every side of the car, because zombies attack from all directions and a wrecked vehicle costs you your escape just as surely as dying.
- Put some currency into the car's strength, not only into guns; a tougher vehicle gives you more room for error when a horde reaches it.
- The repelling power and the explosive jump are both bought between levels, and once owned they give you a way out when zombies box you in.
- Complete quests as well as killing zombies, since both pay the currency that funds new weapons and fighting skills.
- Save grenades, thrown with G, for tight packs of zombies near the car rather than single stragglers.

Zombie defence FAQ
What can you buy between levels in Zombie defence?
New weapons or upgrades for existing ones, more strength for your car, grenades, and two super-powers: repelling opponents and an explosive jump. The currency comes from completing quests and killing zombies during levels.
Which weapons are in the arsenal?
Sniper rifles, shotguns, machine guns and grenade launchers, plus grenades thrown with G. The number keys 1 to 6 or the mouse wheel select a weapon, depending on how many you have available.
Why does the car matter so much?
The car is your last hope of escape, so protecting it is part of surviving. Zombies try to stop you either by killing you or by wrecking the vehicle, which means both of you have to last through each level.
Is there a competitive side to it?
Yes. Players compete on how long they can survive in different areas, so you can compare your survival time against friends and other players who take on the same locations.
