About Air Assault: Ship Defense
Air Assault: Ship Defense is an anti-aircraft shooter set on a World War II destroyer in the Pacific. You man a twin AA gun, and the job is to bring down every plane before it reaches the ship. Aiming is done with a reticle in the center of the view, and the gun builds heat as it fires; let the heat gauge max out and the gun locks until it cools, leaving the deck unprotected.
Stages escalate quickly. Fighters dive at the ship first, then bombers, armored blimps on high passes and kamikazes join in, while planes fire back and bombs fall. Hull HP carries over from stage to stage with only a small repair in between, so damage adds up across a run. Between runs, coins are spent in the shop on damage, cooling and hull upgrades for your gun mount.

How to play Air Assault: Ship Defense
Objective
Shoot down every attacking plane before it hits your destroyer, managing the gun's heat and protecting the hull's HP through each stage.
Controls
Desktop
- Mouse movement: aim with the center reticle
- Left mouse button or Space (hold): fire
- Top-left button: pause
Mobile
- Drag: aim the gun
- Auto-fire: the gun shoots whenever the reticle is on a target
- Top-left button: pause
Getting started
- Move the mouse to put the center reticle on the first diving fighter, or drag to aim on a phone.
- Hold the left mouse button or Space to fire; on mobile the gun shoots by itself once the reticle sits on a target.
- Keep an eye on the heat gauge and ease off before it maxes out, since an overheated gun locks until it cools.
- Bring down every plane in the stage before it reaches the hull, watching your HP as planes shoot back and bombs fall.
- Between runs, spend coins in the shop on damage, cooling or hull upgrades, then climb to the next stage.
Tips
- Fire in short bursts instead of holding the trigger constantly; an overheated gun locks up, and a locked gun leaves the ship open to every plane in range.
- Target steep-diving fighters before high bombers, because the divers get to the hull much sooner.
- Put early coins into cooling, which lets you keep shooting for longer once the later waves grow dense.
- Treat hull HP as a resource across the whole run; only a little is repaired between stages, so every plane that gets through matters later.
- Kamikazes do not turn away, so take them down well before they close in rather than hoping they break off.

Air Assault: Ship Defense FAQ
How do you fire on mobile in Air Assault: Ship Defense?
There is no fire button to press. Drag to aim, and the gun fires automatically whenever the reticle is on a target. On a computer you aim with the mouse and hold the left mouse button or Space to shoot.
What does the heat gauge do?
It tracks how hot the twin gun gets while firing. If it overheats, the gun locks until it cools down, leaving the ship exposed. Cooling upgrades from the shop help you keep firing for longer.
Which enemies appear?
Fighters dive at the ship first. Later stages bring in bombers, kamikazes that keep coming straight at you, and armored blimps passing high overhead. Planes shoot back and bombs fall, so the pressure on the hull grows with each stage.
What can you upgrade between runs?
You spend coins in the shop on three areas: damage, cooling and hull. Hull HP also gets a small repair between stages, but upgrades are the lasting way to make your gun mount stronger.
