About Echolocation Shooter
Echolocation Shooter is a first-person shooter that takes place in the dark. You cannot see the level until you make noise: a soundwave from your weapon lights up the surroundings for a moment, and that brief glimpse is how you find walls, corridors and the neon monsters coming for you. Making sound is therefore both a weapon and your only way of seeing.
The fight runs as endless waves of varied neon enemies in a horror setting, with the aim of wiping them out and staying alive as the horde keeps coming. Your arsenal includes soundwave rifles, laser cannons and grenades, and gear can be upgraded so you can push deeper into the waves. On a computer the left mouse button handles soundwaves and the right handles weapons, which splits seeing and shooting across two buttons.

How to play Echolocation Shooter
Objective
Eliminate the neon enemies wave after wave, using soundwaves to reveal the dark level, and keep upgrading your gear so you can survive deeper into the horde.
Controls
Desktop
- Arrow keys or W, A, S, D: move
- Space: jump
- Shift: dodge
- Left-click: send out a soundwave or interact with objects
- Right-click: ready the weapon and fire
- 1, 2 or mouse scroll: switch weapons
- 3: throw a grenade
- P: open the menu
Mobile
- On-screen buttons: all movement and combat actions
Getting started
- Move with the arrow keys or W, A, S, D and notice how little of the level you can make out before making any noise.
- Left-click to generate a soundwave and watch the walls, floor and nearby enemies light up for a moment.
- Right-click to activate your weapon and shoot at the neon monsters you spotted in the last pulse of light.
- Use Space to jump and Shift to dodge when enemies close in, and press 3 to throw a grenade.
- Switch between weapons with 1, 2 or the mouse scroll, upgrade your gear as you progress, and press P whenever you need the menu.
Tips
- Send a soundwave before rounding a corner; the level stays hidden until you make noise, so walking forward without one lets monsters close in unseen.
- Keep Shift ready for dodging, since the waves never stop coming and staying alive matters as much as clearing each enemy.
- Save grenades, on key 3, for moments when a soundwave shows several neon enemies close together.
- Upgrade your gear regularly; the waves are endless and every one pushes harder, so a loadout that never improves will eventually fall short.
- Try each weapon type, from soundwave rifles to laser cannons, and swap with 1, 2 or the scroll wheel to suit the moment.

Echolocation Shooter FAQ
How do you see anything in Echolocation Shooter?
You make sound. Left-clicking generates a soundwave that briefly lights up the dark level, showing walls and enemies around you. Without those pulses the level stays hidden, so seeing and fighting are tied together.
What weapons can you use?
Soundwave rifles, laser cannons and grenades. Swap between weapons with 1, 2 or the mouse scroll, throw a grenade with 3, and right-click to activate the current weapon and shoot.
Does it work on mobile devices?
Yes. On phones the game uses on-screen buttons for its actions instead of keys and mouse clicks. On a computer each action has its own key, such as Space to jump and Shift to dodge.
Is Echolocation Shooter scary?
It has a horror setting: a dark level filled with neon monsters that you only glimpse when a soundwave lights them up. The enemies come in endless waves, so the tension comes from never seeing much of the room at once.
