About Pulse Of Fear

Pulse Of Fear traps you in an abandoned place with something living in it, and getting out depends on two things: light and silence. Your flashlight is the main tool against the dark, but it only keeps working while you find batteries to feed it. The way out runs through the location's broken power system, which you have to bring back piece by piece.

That means searching for generators and switching them on, changing fuses in electrical panels and cutting wires where a task calls for it, all leading up to starting the elevator. Useful items are scattered around: batteries, fuses, first aid kits for healing and keys for locked doors, held in an inventory you flip through with the keys 1 to 5. Monsters patrol the area, and when one gets close the answer is to hide inside a locker or use a bed for cover.

Getting started

  1. Switch on the flashlight with F, or the flashlight button on a phone, and look around the first room with the mouse or the touch zone.
  2. Pick up batteries whenever you spot them, since the flashlight only keeps shining while it has power.
  3. Search for a generator and press E, or tap the action button, to activate it and begin restoring power.
  4. Collect fuses, keys and first aid kits, switching between carried items with 1 to 5 and dropping extras with Q.
  5. Fix the electrical panels and cut wires where needed, then start the elevator to make your escape.

Tips

  • Hide in a bed or a locker as soon as a monster closes in; the whole game is built around staying unseen, with light and silence as your survival tools.
  • Treat batteries as your most important pickup, because a dead flashlight leaves you without light in a place where light is half of survival.
  • Run with Shift sparingly; silence matters as much as light here, and a careful pace keeps a bed or locker within reach.
  • Save first aid kits for when you really need healing, and keep keys and fuses in your inventory until you find the door or panel they fit.

Pulse Of Fear FAQ

How do you escape in Pulse Of Fear?

Bring the power back and start the elevator. Find and activate generators, swap fuses in electrical panels and cut wires as tasks require, collecting keys for locked doors along the way.

How do you hide from the monsters?

Use the beds and lockers placed around the location. When a monster gets close, getting into one of them is your way of staying out of sight, since keeping to the shadows is central to surviving.

What keeps the flashlight working?

Batteries. The flashlight runs on them, so picking up every battery you find keeps your light going. Switch it with F on a computer or with the flashlight button on a phone.

What are the phone controls like?

An on-screen joystick moves you and a touch zone controls where you look. Separate buttons handle running, the flashlight, pausing and dropping items, you tap the action button to use things, and the inventory lets you change items.
