About Among Us
Among Us is set aboard a ship of astronauts stranded in space. The crew is busy with maintenance to get things running again, and one of them is not what they seem. In this version you play that impostor. Your goal is to eliminate every other crewmate without being caught, moving around a 2D map and choosing your moments while the rest of the crew goes about its work.
Four actions make up the impostor's toolkit, and they sit as icons in the lower right corner of the screen. Kill removes a crewmate once you are in range and then needs a few seconds to recharge. Vent lets you travel unseen through the ship's vents. Sabotage slows the crew's progress on their tasks, and Report calls a meeting where you can try to push suspicion onto someone else. If the crew votes you out, you are ejected and the game is lost. Between games you can adjust values such as speed, cooldown and appearance.

How to play Among Us
Objective
As the impostor, eliminate every crewmate on the ship without being noticed; if the others vote you out, you are ejected and lose the game.
Controls
Desktop
- WASD or arrow keys: move up, down, left and right
- Cursor and left mouse button: choose and use the action icons in the bottom right corner
Getting started
- Before a game, look at the options for speed, cooldown and appearance, which can be changed between games.
- Walk around the ship with WASD or the arrow keys and learn where the vents and open areas are.
- Watch the icons in the bottom right corner; they show which actions are available to you at that moment.
- Find a crewmate standing apart from the group, get in range and use Kill, then leave quickly through a vent or open area.
- If suspicion grows, use Report to call a meeting and steer the vote toward another crewmate instead of you.
Tips
- Choose targets who are alone and close to an escape route, an open area or a vent, so you can get away before anyone sees.
- Kill needs a few seconds to recharge after each use, so plan your next move during that wait instead of chasing a second target straight away.
- If a crewmate spots you, act fast: removing the witness before they can report you is the main way to keep your cover.
- Sabotage the crew's tasks to keep them occupied, which makes it easier to catch someone on their own.

Can there be more than one impostor?
The app version of the game added options that allow several impostors, depending on the size of the group. In this version you play the impostor yourself, and winning means eliminating every other crewmate.
Does Among Us work on a phone?
It is marked as phone-friendly and plays in landscape, but the controls described are keyboard and mouse ones: WASD or the arrow keys to move and the left mouse button for actions. A computer is the most reliable choice.
