About Garden Master
Garden Master takes place against a sky-blue wall with two wooden shelves of flower pots, three on top and two below, and a wooden barrel on the floor in the bottom-left corner. Every pot has a water bar underneath that slowly drains from blue to yellow to red. Your gnome carries a watering can with its own small bar above his hat: stand next to a pot to water it, and when the can runs dry, head back to the barrel to fill it again.
The pressure comes from timed events, each announced by an icon and a seconds countdown in the top-left corner. Gopher Attack sends a gopher up into one pot, where it drains the water far faster than the plants drink on their own; Heatwave and Sunbeam are the other events. A single empty pot ends the run, and the Game Over card counts your score, golden seeds, time survived and gophers whacked. Seeds buy Garden Shop upgrades, from a bigger can to a Combo Shield.

How to play Garden Master
Objective
Keep every pot's water bar from running out, whack each gopher that pops up, and collect golden seeds on the Game Over card to spend on Garden Shop upgrades for the next run.
Controls
Desktop
- Left and Right arrow keys: walk the gnome along a shelf or the floor
- Up arrow (hold): lift the gnome onto the shelf above
- Down arrow (hold): drop through the shelf the gnome is standing on
- Space (hold) beside a pot: water it; about 1.5 seconds empties a full can
- Mouse click on a gopher with the gnome beside its pot: whack it for 250 points
- Stand at the barrel: the can refills in about three seconds
Mobile
- Drag the gnome: it follows your finger to any shelf or the floor
- Leave the gnome beside a pot: it waters that plant on its own
- Leave the gnome at the barrel: the can refills
Getting started
- Read the Garden Master card, which gives arrow keys and Space for desktop and dragging for phones, then press Start Gardening.
- The gnome starts on the lower shelf with a full can; walk to the nearest pot and hold Space until its bar is back to blue.
- Work along both shelves, holding Up to reach the top row and Down to drop back, and give each of the five pots a short drink.
- When the bar above the gnome's hat is empty, go down to the floor and stand at the barrel in the bottom-left corner until it fills.
- Keep an eye on the top-left icon: a gopher with a countdown means an attack is seconds away, so wait near the middle of the shelves.
- After Game Over, check the seeds and gophers totals, then open Garden Shop or press Play Again.
Tips
- Treat every gopher as an emergency: one took a pot from about 90 percent to half in roughly ten seconds, and a whack pays 250 points, far more than watering.
- Clicking from across the screen only shows Get closer!, so move the gnome right next to the gopher's pot first and then click it.
- Spread short squirts across all five pots instead of emptying the can into one; the run ends the moment any single bar runs out.
- Refill whenever you pass near the barrel rather than waiting for a dry can on the top shelf, since the trip down and back costs several seconds.
- A Sunbeam icon works the same way as a gopher: it said Get close & tap to use, and clicking it from the shelf below only produced Get closer!.

Garden Master FAQ
What ends a run in Garden Master?
A run ends as soon as one pot's water bar empties. Pots drain slowly on their own, but a gopher sitting in a pot empties it quickly, and that is what ended most short runs. The Game Over card then lists Final Score, Golden Seeds Earned, Time Survived and Gophers Whacked.
How do you whack a gopher in Garden Master?
Get the gnome right beside the pot the gopher is in, then click the gopher; the on-screen hint says Get close & tap to whack. A hit shows Whacked! +250 and adds 250 points. Clicks from across the screen only bring up Get closer! messages, so move first and click second.
What can you buy in the Garden Shop?
The shop sells five upgrades for golden seeds: Water Can Capacity (4 seeds), Refill Speed (10), Gnome's Speed (15), Special Water (25) and Combo Shield (40). Seeds are paid out on the Game Over card; runs of under two minutes with up to 480 points paid none.
Does Garden Master work on touch screens?
Yes. On a phone you drag the gnome with a finger and it follows directly, even between shelves. Leaving it next to a pot waters that plant automatically, and leaving it at the barrel refills the can. Portrait works fine; the pots are narrower but all five fit on the screen.
