About Cursed Treasure 1.5

Cursed Treasure 1.5 flips the usual fantasy story around. You fight for the evil Overlord, and the heroes are the thieves: after a long stretch of quiet they return to steal the last three gems he has kept safe. Each level sends them in waves, and your job is to raise towers that wear them down before they can carry the treasure away. A hero reaching a gem is not the end, because a gem only counts as gone once its carrier gets clean away.

The defenses come from three dark factions, Orc, Undead and Demon, and you balance resources and magic between them while casting spells at the right moments. Towers can be upgraded up to a maximum tower level. Outside the battles there is a skill system with separate branches for orcs, undead and demons, plus named skills such as Mining, Fire Master, Ice Master, Poison Master, Demon Lord, Lich King, Mind Control and the All Seeing Eye. The map is laid out wide and plays on computers and phones.

How to play Cursed Treasure 1.5

Objective

Survive every wave of each level without letting a single hero leave the map carrying one of the Overlord's three gems.

Getting started

  1. On a phone, turn the screen sideways before starting, since the battle map is drawn in landscape.
  2. Open the first level and look at where the three gems sit, because every wave of heroes is heading for them.
  3. Build your first towers and try all three factions, Orc, Undead and Demon, instead of spending everything on one kind.
  4. As heroes reach the gems, turn your attention to any enemy carrying one and bring it down before it gets away.
  5. After the fight, spend skill points in the orc, undead or demon branches, or on single skills such as Mining or Fire Master.
  6. Carry on to the level after and upgrade the towers doing the most work, remembering each one stops at its max tower level.

Tips

  • A gem is only lost when its carrier escapes, so keep some towers covering the path away from the gems as well as the approach.
  • Split your resources and magic between the Orc, Undead and Demon towers, since the factions are meant to support one another rather than stand alone.
  • Fire Master, Ice Master and Poison Master each point to a different element, so pick the one that matches the towers you build most.
  • Save spells for the moments a wave threatens to break through, rather than casting them the second they are ready.
  • Upgrade a proven tower toward its max tower level before scattering cash on many weak new ones.

Cursed Treasure 1.5 FAQ

What happens when a hero reaches the gems in Cursed Treasure 1.5?

The hero can grab a gem, but you have not lost it yet. It only counts as stolen if the carrier escapes, so you still have a chance to destroy that enemy on its way out and keep the treasure.

Which tower factions can you build?

There are three: Orc, Undead and Demon. Each has its own branch in the skill system, so points spent on orcs' skills strengthen a different set of defenses than points spent on undead or demon skills.

What skills are there besides the faction branches?

Named skills include Mining, Fire Master, Ice Master, Poison Master, Demon Lord, Lich King, Mind Control and the All Seeing Eye. The game keeps track of the points you put into each one.

Does the game work on a phone, and which way should it be held?

Yes, it runs on phones as well as computers. Hold the phone sideways, because the battlefield is laid out in landscape and the extra width shows more of the map at once.
