About Red Impostor Guys

Red Impostor Guys is a party racing game where a crowd of players piles onto the same course. Races hold anywhere from 10 to 40 people, and the goal is to cross the finish ahead of them. There are dozens of courses to finish across 10 maps, and winning earns crowns, the mark of the winner of the day.

Each map brings its own mechanic, so an approach that works on one course may not carry over to the next. Between races you can buy costumes, with 20 uniform costumes that change how your racer looks, and you can race in different costumes on different maps. On a computer you move with WASD, ZQSD or the arrow keys, and phones get touch controls, so the same race works on either device. The impostor-style racers and the size of the crowd give every course a chaotic feel.

How to play Red Impostor Guys

Objective

Race against 10 to 40 players, finish courses ahead of the pack to collect crowns, and buy costumes to change your racer's look.

Controls

Desktop

  • WASD, ZQSD or arrow keys: move your racer

Mobile

  • Touch controls: move your racer on a phone or tablet

Getting started

  1. Turn your phone sideways, since races run in landscape; on a computer, rest your hand on WASD, ZQSD or the arrow keys.
  2. Join your first race and learn how your racer moves while the pack of 10 to 40 players sets off around you.
  3. Watch for the mechanic each map introduces and adjust how you run the course to match it.
  4. Finish ahead of the other racers to collect crowns and work toward being the winner of the day.
  5. Spend on new costumes between races; there are 20 uniform costumes to choose from.

Tips

  • With up to 40 racers on a course, the start is crowded, so look for a clear line instead of following the pack.
  • Each of the 10 maps has its own mechanic, so learn it on your first attempt rather than treating every course the same way.
  • WASD, ZQSD and the arrow keys all move your racer, so pick the set that feels natural and stick with it.
