About Hook King Runner
Hook King Runner is a physics runner where the main way of getting around is a grappling hook. Holding a tap launches the hook and swings your character forward on the rope; letting go throws you off it into a jump. The skill is all in the release: let go at the right moment and the swing carries you cleanly over obstacles, but a badly timed release sends the jump the wrong way.
Each level is an obstacle course with traps to avoid, enemies to outmanoeuvre and coins to collect, ending at a finish line that you reach by carrying momentum from one swing into the next. Ragdoll physics give every fall and landing a loose, floppy look, and the levels are varied, so a rhythm that works on one course may need adjusting on another.
