About Epic Duck
Epic Duck, titled simply DUCK on its start screen, is a single-screen pixel-art platformer. Each level is a compact room of orange checkered walls and bright blue spaces linked by grass-topped ledges. A tiny white duck starts on the lowest ledge, a pink arched door with a keyhole waits at one end, and a yellow key sits somewhere out of easy reach; on the first level it rests on the top-right ledge. The duck needs that key before the door will open.
The puzzle is the route. Ledges step up and around the walls, so reaching the key means working out which jumps chain together, then bringing it back down to the door. The spikes framing the title screen hint at the hazards waiting in later rooms, and the layouts grow cleverer as you progress. Phone players get on-screen help: a translucent circle in the lower-left corner and a round up-arrow button on the right edge.

How to play Epic Duck
Objective
In every room, climb to the yellow key, collect it, and bring the duck back to the pink door to unlock it and move on to the following room.
Controls
Desktop
- Click PLAY: start the first room
- Left/Right arrow keys: walk the duck
- D: walk right
- W: jump
Mobile
- Translucent circle, bottom left: move the duck
- Up-arrow button, right edge: jump
Getting started
- On the DUCK title screen, press the blue PLAY button between the rows of spikes.
- The first room appears at once: the duck on the lower ledge, the pink locked door to its left and the yellow key on the top-right ledge.
- Walk using the arrow keys to see how far the lower ledge runs; it ends at the right wall beside the up-arrow button.
- Press W to jump. From the right end of the lower ledge the duck can climb toward the ledges that lead up to the key.
- Collect the key, then make your way back down to the pink door with the keyhole to finish the level.
Tips
- Study the whole room before moving; on the first level the key sits on the highest ledge, so the route begins at the far right of the bottom ledge, not near the door.
- Walking is quick: a short hold of an arrow key carries the duck from the door to the right wall, so use brief presses when you need to stop on a narrow ledge.
- On a phone, keep one thumb on the circle in the lower-left corner and the other on the up-arrow button so moving and jumping never get in each other's way.
- A jump that falls short simply drops the duck back onto a lower ledge, so trying a different take-off spot costs only a few seconds.

Epic Duck FAQ
How do you open the door in Epic Duck?
Pick up the yellow key first. The pink arched door has a keyhole, and on the first level the key waits on the top-right ledge, so the duck has to climb up to it and then return to the door to get through.
What are the controls in Epic Duck?
On a computer, the left and right arrow keys walk the duck, D also walks right, and W jumps. On a phone, a translucent circle in the lower-left corner moves the duck and a round up-arrow button on the right edge makes it jump.
Why does the start screen say DUCK instead of Epic Duck?
The game's own logo just reads DUCK in big white block letters, framed by rows of spikes, with a blue PLAY button below. It is the same key-and-door platformer that this page lists as Epic Duck.
