About Knifer

Knifer keeps things lean. Your targets are floating faces, and your sharpened knives are the only way to deal with them. The aim is a high count: take down as many faces as possible in a single run, one throw at a time. Because every throw either lands or misses, each one carries weight, and the rhythm of the game comes from lining up a face and committing to the throw.

Misses are the danger. The game tolerates a few, but miss too many times and you lose, which makes accuracy more valuable than raw speed. Chaining hits back to back is what pushes the score up fastest, and scores go onto a leaderboard, so there is always a number to beat on the following attempt. Runs are short, which makes it easy to try again straight away, on a computer or on a phone held sideways.

How to play Knifer

Objective

Hit as many floating faces as you can with your knives before too many misses make you lose, chaining hits to raise your score.

Getting started

  1. Turn your phone sideways or play on a computer; Knifer runs in landscape on both.
  2. Watch the floating faces for a moment so you can judge their position before the first throw.
  3. Throw a knife when a face is lined up, aiming to hit rather than to throw quickly.
  4. Keep hitting targets one after another to build a run of consecutive hits that boosts your score.
  5. When the misses finally end the game, check where your score lands on the leaderboard and start another run.

Tips

  • Accuracy is the whole game. Only a limited number of misses is allowed before you lose, so a throw you are unsure of is usually worth holding.
  • Protect your streak. Consecutive hits raise the score faster than scattered ones, so steady, sure throws beat a rush of risky ones.
  • Keep a rough count of your misses; knowing how close you are to losing tells you how much risk the following throw can carry.

Knifer FAQ

How do you lose in Knifer?

By missing too often. Each throw that fails to hit a floating face counts against you, and after too many misses the game is over. That is why careful aim matters more than speed.

What boosts your score in Knifer?

Hitting floating faces, and especially hitting several in a row. Consecutive hits push the score up, and the best results are compared on a leaderboard, so a long clean streak is the goal of every run.

Can you play Knifer on a phone?

Yes. Phones are supported alongside computers, and the screen is landscape, so hold the device sideways. The floating faces and the scoring work the same way on both.
