About The cow of the apocalypse
The cow of the apocalypse follows Dasha, a farm cow who has had her fill of milking and hay. She walks out on the farm to live the way people do, which in her view means strolling city streets, sitting in cafes, driving cars and blowing things up now and then. The comedy comes from playing that idea completely straight.
Once in town, you run Dasha through the streets on foot, head into buildings and take the wheel of anything from a plain car up to a combat helicopter. Nearly everything is breakable: buildings, lampposts and police cars all go down to gunfire, smashing or explosions. The police are hopelessly unprepared for an armed cow, yet they keep trying to haul her back to her stall, and pushing them back is as much a part of each session as the wreckage. Context buttons pop up on screen when something nearby can be used.

Objective
Keep Dasha out of the stall by fending off the police, and cause as much damage as you can around the city to prove a cow can live as she pleases.

Getting started
- Leave the farm and get Dasha moving with W, A, S and D, holding Shift when you want to break into a run.
- Hold the right mouse button to turn the camera and take stock of the streets, buildings and traffic around you.
- Open fire with the left mouse button on lampposts, buildings and police cars, and press the space bar to jump.
- When a pop-up button appears on screen, use it to interact with the part of the city Dasha is standing next to.
- Get behind the wheel of a car or climb into the combat helicopter, and keep fighting back whenever the police close in.
Tips
- The police want to return Dasha to her stall, so hold Shift and sprint clear when officers gather around her instead of standing still.
- Watch for pop-up buttons, because they are how the game offers interactions beyond moving, jumping and shooting.
- Vehicles widen your options, from city cars to a combat helicopter, so switch to one when wrecking things on foot starts to feel slow.
- Rotate the camera with the right mouse button before firing, since lampposts and police cars may be behind or beside you rather than ahead.
