About Evil Invader

Evil Invader sets its tone on the title screen. A square-jawed hero in an olive military jacket is crowded by the creatures he has to fight: a screaming, clawed beast, a fanged green reptile alien and a hulking grey giant held together with stitches and one red eye. The name is written in dripping yellow-green letters over a rust-orange dirt field, a large slime-covered play button glows on the right, and panels along the bottom track Your Score and High Score.

The game's description places the fight on a ruined, dystopian battlefield overrun by monsters that keep coming. You shoot back with a range of weapons, use power-ups at the right moments and learn how each type of enemy moves, and gaining levels unlocks heavier firepower for the later waves. Survival is the point, and the two score panels on the title screen show how long your best run lasted.

How to play Evil Invader

Objective

Survive the waves of monsters for as long as possible by shooting them down, using power-ups well and levelling up your weapons, then beat the High Score.

Controls

Desktop

  • Green slime play button: start a round
  • Speaker button (top right): switch the sound on or off

Getting started

  1. Wait for the title screen with the soldier and the three monsters; the slime-covered play button on the right is the way in.
  2. Check the small green speaker icon above the play button first if you want to play without sound.
  3. Note the Your Score and High Score panels along the bottom, both at 0 before your first round.
  4. Press the play button and start firing at the first monsters, watching how each kind moves before it reaches you.
  5. After a run ends, compare Your Score with High Score on the title screen and try to push the record higher.

Tips

  • The title art shows at least three monster types, a clawed beast, a reptile alien and a stitched giant, so expect enemies that behave differently and learn each one.
  • The description ties stronger weapons to levelling up, so staying alive longer pays off with more firepower in the later waves.
  • Keep power-ups for crowded moments rather than using them the second they appear, since the waves are said not to let up.
  • High Score sits right next to Your Score on the title screen, which makes it easy to see after each run how close you came.

Evil Invader FAQ

What do the two panels on the Evil Invader title screen show?

Your Score shows the result of your latest run and High Score keeps your best one. Both read 0 before you play, and they update on the title screen when a round ends.

Is Evil Invader scary or gory?

The art leans toward cartoon horror: a fanged reptile alien, a clawed beast and a stitched grey giant with a red eye. It is a monster shooter with a grim setting, but the title screen shows no blood.

How does levelling up work in Evil Invader?

By the game's description, gaining levels unlocks more devastating firepower, so the weapons you start with are the weakest you will use. Surviving longer and learning how each monster attacks is what earns those upgrades.
