About Last Play: Ragdoll Sandbox
Last Play: Ragdoll Sandbox is a physics sandbox in which ragdoll figures and objects collide, topple and break according to a detailed physics engine. Nothing is scripted for you. You place characters and props, build with a wide set of tools across several environments, and see how the scene falls apart, or holds up, once the action starts.
Around the open sandbox sits a progression loop. Challenges in a variety of genres unlock new items when you pass them, and mini-games unlock new characters. Each unlock widens the cast and the toolbox you can bring back to set up the battle you have in mind. Finished creations can be shared with the community, and other players' builds can be browsed in turn. The tone swings between careful construction and outright destruction, depending on what you decide to make.

How to play Last Play: Ragdoll Sandbox
Objective
Pass challenges and mini-games to unlock new items and characters, then use them to build sandbox scenes and stage the ragdoll battles you want to see.
Controls
Desktop
- WASD: move your character
- Left or right mouse button: handle sandbox objects and the interface
Mobile
- Touchscreen: move your character
- Tap: interact with sandbox objects and menus
Getting started
- Move your character with WASD, or with the touchscreen on a phone, to look around the first environment.
- Use the mouse buttons, or a tap, to pick sandbox objects and characters and place them into the scene.
- Arrange a battle between the characters you have and let the physics engine decide how it plays out.
- Leave the sandbox to try a challenge; passing it unlocks new items to use in later scenes.
- Complete mini-games to add new characters, then return to the sandbox and stage a bigger battle with them.
Tips
- Clear mini-games early, because they are the route to new characters, and a wider cast makes sandbox battles far more varied.
- Challenges span several genres; if one style does not suit you, switch to another, since any passed challenge still adds items.
- Build structures around your fighters: the things you construct and the ragdolls you place react to the same physics, so a collapsing build can join the fight.
- Use the sharing features to show off a scene you are proud of, and look through other players' builds for battle ideas.

Last Play: Ragdoll Sandbox FAQ
Where do new characters and items come from?
Characters come from mini-games and items come from challenges. Passing challenges in a range of genres adds new items to the sandbox, while finishing mini-games adds new characters. Both then become available for building scenes and arranging battles.
Can you play Last Play: Ragdoll Sandbox on a touchscreen?
Yes. On a touchscreen you move the character with on-screen input and tap to interact with objects and menus. On a computer, WASD moves the character and either mouse button handles sandbox objects and the interface.
Is there a set goal inside the sandbox?
Not a fixed one. The sandbox is for setting up whatever you like, from careful builds to chaotic battles and destruction. The structured goals live in the challenges and mini-games, which feed new items and characters back into it.
