About Boing Bang

Boing Bang takes place in a yellow brick room seen side-on, its walls framed in gold. A small purple creature in a propeller cap and sunglasses stands on the floor with a blaster, and big spiky or spotted balls bounce around above it. Each round opens with a pink ready banner and then GO! printed across the middle, and the creature's shots rise in a straight column of light-blue blobs. A strip at the top shows lives, hearts, the score and the stage number, starting at Lv. 1-1.

A hit bursts a ball into smaller pieces: the first blue ball gave way to a green one and a grey one that carried on along their own paths, so the room gets busier the more you shoot. On a phone, a translucent joystick in the lower-left corner moves the creature, and a round pause button sits at the top right. The game's description adds platforms to use and warns that every shot counts once the bounces turn unpredictable.

How to play Boing Bang

Objective

Shoot every bouncing ball into smaller and smaller pieces until the room is clear, without letting any of them land on the purple creature.

Controls

Mobile

  • Touch the title screen: start the game
  • On-screen joystick (bottom left): move the creature
  • Pause button (top right): pause the round

Getting started

  1. Turn the phone sideways; the BOING BANG title shows the purple creature with its blaster and the words Touch to start.
  2. Use the speaker button marked M in the bottom-left corner if you want silence, then touch the screen to begin.
  3. Wait through the pink ready banner and GO! while the first big ball hangs in the middle of the brick room.
  4. Put a thumb on the translucent joystick in the lower-left corner and slide the creature underneath the ball.
  5. Line up beneath it so the rising column of shots connects, then dodge the smaller balls it breaks into.

Tips

  • Shots travel straight up in a single column, so stand directly beneath a ball rather than hoping to catch it at an angle.
  • Every hit splits a ball into smaller ones that bounce separately, so clear the little pieces before breaking the next big one.
  • Watch the hearts and the lives icon in the top strip; together with the Lv. 1-1 label they show how much margin you have on this stage.
  • The joystick sits low on the left, so keep a thumb resting there and leave the rest of the screen clear for watching the bounces.

Boing Bang FAQ

How do you move in Boing Bang on a phone?

Use the translucent joystick in the lower-left corner of the brick room to slide the purple creature along the floor. Keep it under the bouncing balls so the rising column of shots connects with them.

What happens when a ball is hit in Boing Bang?

It bursts and splits into smaller balls that bounce on their own paths, as the first blue ball does when it gives way to a green and a grey one. The room fills quickly, so pick off the small ones early.

What can the purple creature use besides its blaster in Boing Bang?

The game's description mentions platforms to use strategically alongside the blaster. The first stage is an open brick floor, so it is mostly about moving with the joystick and lining up the rising shots under each ball.
