About Snake Arena

Snake Arena takes the old snake formula into a shared arena filled with real players. You grow longer by eating dots and grabbing power-ups, but the big change from classic snake is that other snakes are hazards too: run into a rival's body and your round is over. Clever positioning lets you cut opponents off, and the aim is to become the biggest snake on the field and climb the daily leaderboard.

Five modes change the rules. Quick Play lasts 120 seconds, Infinity has no time limit, Boss Hunt starts every snake big with no food in the pit, Ghetto keeps food scarce and never refills it, and Battle Royale knocks players out until one survivor remains. Between rounds you can change your snake's appearance with options that unlock as you progress, and a wheel of fortune can be spun once every hour.

How to play Snake Arena

Objective

Grow your snake as large as possible by eating dots and power-ups, avoid crashing into other snakes' bodies, and finish high on the daily leaderboard.

Controls

Desktop

  • Mouse movement: the snake heads toward the cursor
  • Left click: speed boost

Mobile

  • Virtual joystick: steer the snake
  • Boost button: tap for a burst of speed

Getting started

  1. Choose a mode first: Quick Play for a 120-second round, Infinity for untimed play, or Boss Hunt, Ghetto and Battle Royale for special rules.
  2. Steer by moving the mouse so the snake follows the cursor, or use the virtual joystick on a phone.
  3. Eat the dots around the arena to grow longer, and collect any power-ups you pass along the way.
  4. Keep your head away from other snakes' bodies, since running into one ends your run on the spot.
  5. Use the boost, with a left click or the boost button, to escape tight spots or slip in front of a rival.

Tips

  • In Boss Hunt there is no food in the pit and every snake starts big, so survival depends on positioning rather than eating.
  • Ghetto mode never replenishes its food, so grab what you can early before the arena runs dry.
  • Cut across a rival's path to force a swerve; since colliding with a body ends a run, making others hit you is how big snakes are taken down.
  • Come back for the wheel of fortune each hour, because it can only be spun once per hour.

Snake Arena FAQ

What modes does Snake Arena have?

There are five: Quick Play, a 120-second round; Infinity, with no time limit; Boss Hunt, where all snakes begin large and the pit holds no food; Ghetto, where food is scarce and never replenished; and Battle Royale, where the last surviving snake wins.

What ends a run in Snake Arena?

Colliding with another player's body ends your run, which is the main difference from classic snake, where walls are the usual danger. Watch the snakes around you and use the speed boost to get clear of crowded areas.

How do you boost in Snake Arena on a phone?

Tap the boost button for a burst of speed, and steer with the virtual joystick. On a computer the snake follows your cursor instead, and a left click triggers the same boost.

Is Snake Arena played online against real people?

Yes. You compete against real players who are in the arena with you at once, which is why positioning matters so much. Your results count toward a daily leaderboard, and new appearance options for your snake unlock as you keep playing.
