About Ladder Master

Ladder Master is a stacking runner with a wildly ambitious target: a ladder long enough to reach the moon. Your runner moves forward automatically, and you shift left and right to grab floating ladder rungs, each of which adds height to the stack you carry. Spinning saws cut through that stack, and every hit slices away between 5 and 10 rungs at once.

Color gates add a second layer. Passing through a red, yellow or green gate sets which rung color counts, and until the next gate only rungs of that color add to your ladder. Each level ends at a wall with multiplier zones of x2, x5 and x10; the taller your stack, the higher you climb and the bigger the coin payout. Coins buy new characters and skins, all cosmetic, and a global leaderboard ranks players. There are hundreds of levels, and from level 50 onward the saws start arriving in pairs.

How to play Ladder Master

Objective

Collect enough rungs of the active color to build a tall ladder, survive the saws, and climb the final wall to the highest multiplier you can reach.

Controls

Desktop

  • A/D or Left/Right arrow keys: move sideways to grab rungs and dodge saws

Mobile

  • Swipe left or right: steer your runner across the track

Getting started

  1. Start a level and let the runner move forward on its own, since your only task is shifting left and right.
  2. Swipe left or right on a phone, or press A/D or the arrow keys on a keyboard, to line up with floating rungs.
  3. Note the color of the last gate you passed, because only rungs matching it add height to your stack.
  4. Steer clear of the spinning saws, which cut 5 to 10 rungs off your ladder with a single hit.
  5. Reach the final wall with as tall a stack as possible and climb it toward the x2, x5 or x10 zone for coins.
  6. Spend those coins on new characters and skins, then carry on with the following stage.

Tips

  • Put rungs ahead of loose coins in the middle of a level; a run that reaches the x10 zone pays out far more gold than scattered pickups.
  • After each color gate, ignore rungs of the other two colors, since they add nothing until a later gate switches the active color.
  • Every level has its own rhythm of saws and gaps, so memorize the pattern on a failed attempt and use it on the retry.
  • Grab power-ups that shield you from saws when you are carrying a tall stack, because one hit can undo many rungs of progress.
  • From level 50 onward the saws come in pairs, so plan sideways moves earlier and avoid last-moment swerves.

Ladder Master FAQ

How do the color gates work in Ladder Master?

Each gate is red, yellow or green, and passing through one sets which rungs count. Only rungs of the matching color add to your ladder until you reach the next gate, so grabbing other colors in between is wasted effort.

What happens if a saw hits your ladder?

The saw slices off 5 to 10 rungs, depending on its size. Lose too many and the stack will be too short to clear the final wall; you can then retry the level or view an optional ad to keep going with the rungs you still have.

Do characters and skins change how you play?

No. Characters and skins are bought with gold coins and are purely cosmetic, so they give no gameplay advantage. The quickest way to afford them is a tall stack that lands in the x10 zone at the end of a level.

Can you play Ladder Master with a keyboard?

Yes. On desktop, press A and D or the left and right arrow keys to shift sideways. On a phone the same movement comes from swiping left or right, and the runner handles forward motion by itself.
