About Penalty Shooters

Penalty Shooters strips football down to its tensest moment. There are two players, one ball and one goal, and every match is a penalty shootout in front of a full stadium. You pick one of 32 teams and play through a cup competition, and each shootout you win takes you closer to the trophy. The crowd and the stakes are the pressure; the duel itself is just you against one opponent.

The shootouts swap roles. You shoot as the striker and also defend as the goalkeeper, so aiming well and reading the opponent both matter, and trying to trick the other side is part of it. Points are added up across the competition, shown on screen as TOTAL POINTS IN THIS CUP, and the game moves between screens with a CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE prompt. It plays on a wide screen on computers and phones.

Desktop

  • Click: continue at the CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE prompt

Getting started

  1. Choose one of the 32 teams to represent in the cup competition.
  2. Take your penalty as the striker, aiming carefully to beat the opposing goalkeeper.
  3. Switch to goalkeeper when it is your turn to defend, and try to stop the opponent's shot.

  5. Check your TOTAL POINTS IN THIS CUP as you progress, and keep winning until the cup is yours.

Tips

  • Aim wisely and try to trick your opponent; a shootout is one against one, so a predictable shot is easier for the goalkeeper to read.
  • Treat your goalkeeping turns as seriously as your shots, since a shootout is won by saving as well as by scoring.
  • Keep an eye on TOTAL POINTS IN THIS CUP; it shows how your run through the competition is adding up.
