About Ragdoll Soccer

Ragdoll Soccer turns a football match into a physics scramble. Your player is a stick figure with a loose ragdoll body, so each kick and collision lands a little differently from the last. A clock on the scoreboard counts down, and whoever has put more goals past the other side when it hits zero takes the win.

Several modes sit around that core. Training lets you learn how the stickman reacts and practise special moves, Classic Match and 2 Players pit two people against each other on one device, Penalty Shootout puts you in goal against a series of spot kicks, and Tournament walks you up a bracket of matches. Games take place on Field, a grass arena with stands, or Matrix, a surreal abyss in place of a pitch. Four power-ups can swing a match: Reducer shrinks the ball, Freezing stops your opponent, Gates makes their goal bigger and Goalkeeper puts a keeper in front of yours. Playing on unlocks extra modes, power-ups and new looks for your stickman.

How to play Ragdoll Soccer

Objective

Score more goals than your opponent before the scoreboard clock runs out, using headbutts, kicks and power-ups to get the ball into their net.

Controls

Desktop

  • WASD: move your stickman
  • Q: headbutt
  • E: kick
  • Mouse: alternative way to control the player
  • Gamepad: full controller support

Mobile

  • Virtual joystick: move your stickman
  • Virtual buttons: headbutt and kick

Getting started

  1. Start in Training to see how the floppy stickman responds to your inputs and to practise its special moves.
  2. Pick a map: Field for a familiar grass arena with stands, or Matrix for a match played over a surreal abyss.
  3. Move with WASD, press Q to headbutt and E to kick; on a phone, use the virtual joystick and the two virtual buttons.
  4. Keep an eye on the countdown and grab power-ups such as Reducer or Freezing to tip the match your way.
  5. Once you are comfortable, climb the bracket in Tournament, or face a friend on the same device in 2 Players mode.

Tips

  • Fire Gates when you are near the rival goal: it instantly enlarges their net, so even a wobbly ragdoll shot has a better chance of going in.
  • Protecting a lead late on, use Goalkeeper to summon a keeper to your goal, or Freezing to neutralize the opponent before they can attack.
  • Reducer shrinks the ball and can catch the other player off guard, which makes it useful right when they are lined up to block a shot.
  • Penalty Shootout is a goalkeeping drill, so use it to sharpen the precise movements and quick reactions needed to protect your own net.

Ragdoll Soccer FAQ

How do you headbutt and kick in Ragdoll Soccer?

On a computer, Q headbutts and E kicks, while WASD moves the stickman; a mouse or a gamepad also works. On mobile, a virtual joystick handles movement and two virtual buttons cover the headbutt and the kick.

Which maps can you play on in Ragdoll Soccer?

There are two. Field recreates a regular football arena with grass and stands, while Matrix moves the match into a surreal, abyss-like space with no traditional pitch. On either map, the side with more goals when time runs out wins.

Can two people play on the same device?

Yes. 2 Players mode lets two people share one device and race to score more goals within the time limit, and Classic Match also offers local multiplayer against another player. Training is there for solo practice.
