About Soccer Random

Soccer Random strips football down to one input per side and lets ragdoll physics do the rest. Each side has a single key that makes its players jump, kick and defend, and because the characters bounce, fall, stretch and swing rather than running in the usual way, every attack is a gamble on timing. The first side to reach the winning number of goals takes the match.

The twist is in the name. After a goal, the field, the players, the conditions, the ball's behavior and the rhythm of the match can all change, so one round on an ordinary pitch can be followed by a slippery, unusual one. Matches can be played solo against the CPU, or two people can split a single device in local 2-player mode. Clean pixel art keeps the chaos readable, and short matches mean a rematch is always seconds away.

How to play Soccer Random

Objective

Score more goals than your rival and reach the winning total first, adapting each round to whatever field and ball changes the game throws in.

Controls

Desktop

  • W: Player 1 jumps, kicks and defends
  • Up Arrow: Player 2 jumps, kicks and defends

Getting started

  1. Choose to play solo against the CPU or bring a friend for a local 2-player match sharing one device.
  2. As Player 1, press W to send your players leaping at the ball; in a 2-player match the second player uses Up Arrow.
  3. Time each press so the ragdoll swing meets the ball and sends it toward the opposing goal rather than past it.
  4. Press again as the ball heads back toward your goal, since the same key that kicks also handles defending.
  5. After each goal, check what changed on the field or with the ball, then adjust your timing for the new round.

Tips

  • Wait for the ball to come close before pressing; with only one key, an early press leaves your players flopping in the air.
  • Read the new setup after every goal, such as a slippery field, and change your rhythm instead of repeating the move that scored last time.
  • One late jump or accidental block is enough to decide a round, so stay ready to press on defense even when an attack looks lost.
  • In 2-player mode, sit so both people can reach W and Up Arrow comfortably, since each side controls everything with that single key.

Soccer Random FAQ

What keys do you use in Soccer Random?

W belongs to Player 1, and Up Arrow belongs to Player 2. That single key handles jumping, kicking and defending, so the whole match comes down to when you press it rather than which button you choose.

Can two people play Soccer Random together?

Yes. Local 2-player mode lets two people share the same device, one on W and one on Up Arrow. You can also play alone against the CPU when nobody else is around.

What changes between rounds of Soccer Random?

After a goal, the field, the players, the conditions, the ball's behavior and the pace of the match can shift. One round may take place on a normal pitch and the following one on a slippery or strange layout.
