About Wear the Helmet
Wear the Helmet is an endless runner on a scooter, with road safety as its theme. The ride does not stop until something goes wrong, and your only job is to keep the scooter out of trouble as long as possible. Each run is measured by how far you get before an obstacle catches you.
Obstacles are the whole challenge. Barricades, roadblocks and open sewer holes appear on the road, and each one has to be dodged by moving the scooter up or down. On a computer that means the Up and Down keys or W and S, and on a phone you use the controls shown on the screen. It is a short-session game with a clear message, and the title itself is a reminder of what sensible riders do.

How to play Wear the Helmet
Objective
Ride the scooter as far as possible, moving up or down the road to dodge every barricade, roadblock and open sewer hole in your way.
Controls
Desktop
- Up or Down key: move the scooter up or down the road to avoid obstacles
- W or S: the same up and down moves
Mobile
- Touch the on-screen controls: move the scooter up or down the road
Getting started
- Turn a phone sideways before you begin, as the road runs across a landscape screen on phones and computers.
- Start the ride and watch the road ahead for the first barricade or roadblock.
- Press Up or W to move the scooter up, or Down or S to move it down, getting out of the obstacle's path.
- On a phone, touch the on-screen controls to make the same up and down moves.
- Keep reacting to each obstacle in turn, including the open sewer holes, and see how far the scooter gets.
Tips
- Every dodge is just up or down, so avoid hugging the top or bottom edge of the road, which leaves only one way out.
- Look past the nearest obstacle to the one behind it, so your next up or down move is planned before you need it.
- On a keyboard, pick either the Up and Down keys or W and S and stick with that pair; switching mid-ride invites a wrong move.
