About ColorTrail 3D

ColorTrail 3D turns a track into a coloring task. You control a small cube, and wherever it travels it leaves a streak of color behind. A level is finished once the whole path has been painted, so the job is less about racing to an end point and more about making sure no stretch of the track is left bare.

Standing in the way are obstacles and traps placed along the 3D tracks, and the cube has to get past them while it keeps filling the route. Movement comes down to a single hold: the cube moves while you keep the mouse button or the screen pressed. Later levels run faster and grow more demanding, so the timing of each hold becomes the main skill, and precision near the traps decides whether a run ends with a fully colored path.

How to play ColorTrail 3D

Objective

Move your cube across every part of each 3D track so the whole path is filled with color, without running into the obstacles and traps placed along the way.

Controls

Desktop

  • Hold the left mouse button: move the cube along the track

Mobile

  • Touch and hold the screen: move the cube along the track

Getting started

  1. Look over the track at the start of a level to see which sections still need color and where the traps are placed.
  2. Hold the left mouse button, or touch and hold the screen on a phone, to set your cube moving along the path.
  3. Watch the color spread behind the cube and keep going until each section of the track is painted.
  4. Time your holds around each obstacle so the cube passes when the way is clear rather than running into a trap.
  5. Clear the level by filling the entire path, and expect the levels after it to move faster and ask for sharper timing.

Tips

  • Use short, controlled holds near traps; the cube moves while the button or screen is held, so brief presses give finer control over how far it travels.
  • Study each obstacle before committing to a long hold, because later levels speed up and leave less room for a badly timed move.
  • Check for unpainted stretches before heading into a trap-heavy section, since a level only counts as done when every path is filled.
  • Expect the pace to rise as you progress; a hold length that worked on early tracks can carry the cube too far on later ones.

ColorTrail 3D FAQ

How do you move the cube in ColorTrail 3D?

Hold the left mouse button on a computer, or touch and hold the screen on a phone. The cube moves while you hold and paints the path as it goes, so each hold carries it a little further along the track.

When is a level complete?

A level is complete once you have filled the entire path with color. Getting there means steering the cube over every part of the track while keeping it clear of the obstacles and traps placed on it.

Do the levels get harder?

Yes. Levels become faster and more demanding as you move forward, so timing and precision matter more on later tracks than on the first few. Expect less margin for a mistimed hold the further you get.

Is there a phone version of the controls?

Yes. On a phone you touch and hold the screen to move the cube, which does the same job as holding the left mouse button on a computer. The painting and the traps work the same way on both.
