About AOD - Art Of Defense
AOD - Art Of Defense is a tower defense game with RPG and tactical layers, set in a post-apocalyptic world shown in isometric view. You command the A.O.D squad against Mr. Evil's cutthroats, who are searching for the lost Project Inola. Battles run in real time across more than 500 sectors, in places that range from small villages to huge metropolises.
Each fight comes down to placing towers to protect your base and then strengthening them. Tower types include tanks, miniguns, machine guns, rockets and AA guns, backed by over 1000 unique upgrades and hundreds of upgrade cards for every tower. Six heroes can be explored and leveled up, and special weapons such as ballistic barrages, nuclear bombs and ion satellite attacks help against powerful enemies and bosses. The escape, fog and survival modes add variety beyond the standard defense.

How to play AOD - Art Of Defense
Objective
Protect your base from Mr. Evil's forces sector after sector, keeping them from the lost Project Inola and saving what is left of humanity.
Controls
Desktop
- Left mouse button: place a tower
- Scroll wheel: zoom in or out
- Touchpad pinch: zoom in or out on a laptop
Getting started
- Open the first sector and look over the map around your base, which the enemy waves are trying to break through.
- Place your first towers with the left mouse button where they can cover the approach to your base.
- Use the scroll wheel, or pinch on a touchpad, to zoom out for an overview or zoom in for precise placement.
- Spend upgrade cards on the towers doing the most work, choosing among tank, minigun and AA upgrades as enemies grow stronger.
- Bring a hero into the fight and level it up, keeping nuclear bombs, ion satellite attacks and barrages for bosses.
Tips
- Spread upgrade cards across several tower types; with hundreds of cards per tower, a line of tanks, miniguns and AA guns covers more threats than one type.
- Hold heavy ordnance such as nuclear bombs and ion satellite attacks for formidable bosses rather than spending it on ordinary waves.
- Level your heroes alongside your towers, since six heroes are available and a strong one can prop up the weakest part of a defense.
- Once the main sectors feel routine, switch to the escape, fog or survival modes for a change from the standard defense.
