About SnakeWar.io
SnakeWar.io is a real-time multiplayer snake arena viewed from above. Every player controls a snake, and the aim is to become the longest one on the map by eating the fruits scattered around the arena and by eliminating rivals. Size brings power: the bigger your snake, the more dangerous it is to everyone else.
Kills work on body contact. The moment another snake's head runs into your body, that snake is destroyed and bursts into a large pile of fruit, which you should grab before other players swoop in. Steering follows your mouse, and holding the left mouse button triggers a boost that makes you faster but burns off part of your length, so it is best saved for escapes or for cutting across a rival's path. A leaderboard ranks the biggest snakes, and skins with pumpkin heads, pirate outfits or pig faces can change your snake's look before each match.

Getting started
- Pick a skin if you like, then start a match and steer your snake by moving the mouse.
- Eat the fruits scattered across the arena for steady growth, starting near the center where more of them appear.
- Keep clear of giant snakes while you are still small, and wait until you have grown before taking them on.
- Once you have some length, circle smaller snakes or cut in front of them so their heads hit your body.
- Collect the fruit a destroyed snake leaves behind quickly, before other players reach the pile.
Tips
- Boosting with the left click costs length, so use it only to escape danger or close a trap, never as your default speed.
- Circling a smaller snake traps it; once it cannot get out, its head has nowhere to go but into your body.
- Stay near the center of the arena, where more fruits appear, to grow faster between fights.
- Watch the leaderboard and look for distracted players, who are easier targets while they chase fruit or other snakes.

How do you eliminate other snakes in SnakeWar.io?
Make them crash into you. When another snake's head hits your body, it is destroyed instantly and explodes into a big pile of fruit. Circling smaller snakes or cutting across their path are good ways to set that up.
How does the boost work?
Hold the left mouse button to speed up. Boosting burns off part of your snake's length, so too much of it leaves you smaller and vulnerable. Use it in short bursts to escape or to trap a rival.
Can you customize your snake?
Yes. Before each match you can pick a skin, with options such as pumpkin heads, a pirate theme or a pig design, so you can stand out in a crowded arena while you hunt for fruit.
