About Flamit
Flamit is a pixel-art platformer starring a small living flame with angry white eyes, set inside a dark stone castle. The title screen lists NORMAL MODE and SPEEDRUN in fiery lettering, each with a key letter beside it, plus sound and music buttons tagged Q and M. Starting a game drops you into a hub of arched doors on two floors: orange numbers 1 - 4 mark the upper row and 5 - 8 the lower one, a lit torch burns on a post in the middle, and one doorway on the upper ledge stands open.
The flame keeps dwindling, which turns every level into a race to reach and light torches before it burns out. Across 30 icy levels the castle fills with snowy obstacles and icy enemies that have to be dodged or outthought. The hub groups the levels behind its doors, and SPEEDRUN, as its name suggests, offers a second run through the climb for players who want a clock to beat.

Objective
Guide the flame through each level and light the torches before it dwindles away, working through the doors of the hub in NORMAL MODE or racing them in SPEEDRUN.

Getting started
- On the title screen choose NORMAL MODE, or press the N key; SPEEDRUN, on the S key, is the second mode for later.
- In the castle hub, walk the flame along the upper ledge with the left and right arrow keys to get a feel for its speed.
- Press W to jump; the flame leaps high enough to reach the top of the screen, so judge where you will land on the ledges.
- Doors are grouped under 1 - 4 on the upper floor and 5 - 8 below; begin with the open doorway right beside the flame's starting spot.
- On a phone, turn it sideways and use the translucent round buttons along the bottom edge in place of the keys.
Tips
- The flame keeps shrinking, so do not linger in the hub; head for the open doorway and save the exploring for when you know the route.
- A press of W lifts the flame far above its ledge, so line up under the spot where you want to land before you jump.
- Q mutes the sound and M the music straight from the title screen, without opening any menu.
- The orange numbers above the doors, 1 - 4 and 5 - 8, tell you which levels sit behind each row, which helps when you want to replay a particular one.

What is the difference between NORMAL MODE and SPEEDRUN in Flamit?
They are the two ways to play. NORMAL MODE takes you through the levels from the castle hub, while SPEEDRUN, as its name suggests, is about finishing as fast as you can. Both sit on the title screen, on the N and S keys.
Which keys move the flame in Flamit?
